  1. Let's hope Mick doesn't bugger it up again when he arrives back from his holiday.
  2. The ultimate troll. You should try leaving Poole occasionally and see some other tracks. Sorry everyone, it's my own fault for replying to him. Even Shovlar has refrained from trying to antagonise Bees fans on this thread but this guy can't help himself.
  3. You're a total pillock pal. Been supporting the Bees home and away for 30 years, unlike you who gets in free at Poole for peddling a crap magazine and never leaves Dorset. Why do you think Coventry fans should go and watch their team ride at Leicester (whom they detest) just because you think it's a good idea? I know fans that have been going to Brandon far longer than me who feel the same and won't travel. Once you lose your home, you cease to exist. It's just a fact. Doesn't make me a bad fan for stating it.
  4. The only alternative is to close down. Attempting to share another clubs stadium wouldn't work in any sport, let alone a farcical minority sport like speedway with its miniscule crowds. People would back it for a couple of months if they could see a new stadium being built locally but, as we all know, that isn't going to happen.
  5. I've haven't seen a single post in your 17,000 plus where you've ever been right about anything. Moving to Leicester is short term financial suicide for any would be promoter. The signed team of riders should by all means move to Leicester, but they should race as the Leicester Lions.
  6. You're a bonehead. We don't want to move to Leicester. Closure would be a better option. Leicester are struggling to house their own team without taking on a bunch of nomads. Even if people travelled initially, they would soon get fed up as the racing is utter pony and whoever promoted it would be bankrupt in months. Barely missed a home meeting in 33 years and gutted, but it's gone and we move on to the next chapter which, for me, will be to go from attending 70 plus meetings a year all over the country to zero. Always likely to come to this once Ochiltree sold it.
  7. He's right though. Who do you honestly think is going to sign for us? Even Bates and Garrity aren't certs now Havvy has gone. Rye will have a far better team than us.
  8. Not from a racing point of view it isn't. Still it's a few quid saved as I won't bother going now.
  9. Don't see why people keep saying Ellis should have ridden PL. Chances are he'd have ended up in an even bigger mess like Garrity has on 8+ He will be. As our number one probably.
  10. Garrity is on 8.55 and effectively unemployable by anyone sensible. Same as Ellis.
  11. You ran out of points after the fifth rider. Nicholls Nilsson and Kennett are all over 9. Garrity is well over 8 and has a higher Ave than Michelsen so won't be a reserve anywhere.
  12. Nielsen averaged 11.83 in 1986. Riders can't do it now of course as they have neither the talent or dedication.
  13. The season ticket money has been stolen from us I'm afraid. Drove past Brandon earlier. Didn't appear to be 'unavailable'.
  14. Let's face it, it won't be anyone with an ounce of credibility.
  15. Havvy has left then. Some will be happy. We'll remind them of that when Rogers is unveiled as the new boss!
  16. Nicki Pedersen alluded to one of the main issues a couple of months back during his UK talk in. He said a fixed race night wouldn't necessarily bring him or any of the other top boys back here. To do mainland Europe you can set yourself up with a van and a couple of mechanics. You need an entirely separate set up for the UK, and the cost of doing so is quite vast before you even think about how much you're going to earn.
  17. Actually looking forward to watching Ellis and Newman. Both good lads who will get stuck in and give it a go. Both ride Coventry well. Rather they rode than a so called top rider turning up, sulking and putting in half an effort
  18. Let's face it, we've got bigger issues than Nielsen leaving. Can't think who on earth will ride for this club next year.
  19. We all keep hearing how CVS radically rebuilt the team and went against his normal principals of using assets that had umpteen years of service. Yet the team that won the League featured PK, Fred, Woffy and Thorssell who have decades of Monmore service behind them. Hardly a groundbreaking team reshuffle. Would the team with Bech and JK in it have won the League? No chance. Good management bringing Tai in though.
  20. Don't see why you wouldn't want that team? Would be super strong at Monmore and do enough away to breeze into the Playoffs and probably win them. Doubt anybody's team will end up that strong though.
  21. What would frighten you is the bank balances of the promoters. They can't afford to pay for what they have, let alone try and entice more top riders over here. How do they make it stronger? The frightening thing for me is that some people think clubs should all switch to ridiculous midweek race nights in a bid to strengthen. I want to be at Brandon on a Friday or Saturday.
  22. I always think they put too much dirt on Lynn. Always great big clods of earth flying into the crowd!
  23. You haven't been to King's Lynn for a while have you? Racing has been pony there for a few years now. Only Leicester worse in the EL.
  24. Woffy as a second string actually weakens Wolves. Can't get why some people don't understand that.
