  1. Fair enough. I was in the grandstand up the other end that night and only saw him shouting over the air fence. There is a pic of it somewhere as well. Still not sure it's ban worthy, but he obviously needs to develop a thicker skin. Anyhow, when speedway was a real sport, Gary Guglielmi and Mitch Shirra used to lay into someone on a weekly basis! Opposing fans, riders, away track staff that had annoyed them...
  2. Seen plenty of fan/rider confrontations over the years but dont remember a ban ever resulting. Unless he actually got hold of them and landed one on them? Presume the police would have attended the scene had that happened though?
  3. Why do people think Lambert will get a ban for remonstrating with a fan? He had a go at someone at Peterborough in May, although he didn't go into the crowd. Gobby fans are fair game. If he'd hit another rider he might have got a ban.
  4. He's an odious little character to be fair. Always has been.
  5. Lynns top flight team will fold at the end of this season same as their NL one has. An utter disgrace from top to bottom.
  6. It would, but you need to keep Branford and Perks to comply with the rules. Could have brought Newman in for one of them but Leicester beat them to it.
  7. What's the conversion rate on newly established Premiership aves? Seems mental to disregard an established 2nd tier CMA and allow someone to sign a known 2nd tier no 1 on a false average.
  8. Don't see how. Tungate has an established 2nd tier CMA of 9.09. He wouldn't carry his new 4.68 Premiership average into the 2nd tier.
  9. Only once I think. They were, of course, infamously beaten by a team that finished fourth.
  10. Poole are stating that Holder is riding for Panthers as their match is a re-arranged fixture.
  11. Yes there has. Harris is on 9.21, which is his final EL CMA of 6.58 from last year, multiplied by 1.4 to turn it into a second tier average.
  12. The Wolves promotion haven't been around for 30 years by paying guarantees I can assure you. Daft comment. Lindgren had been 5-1d in 13 and they figured they'd give Schlein and Thorssell a go. Both of those riders should be able to beat Morris at Monmore. It made no odds to Wolves league points, and the point Swindon gained might help them see off a better team in the Playoff battle.
  13. Not sure what 'not being a double up' has to do with it? The longtrack meeting is an FIM event, so imagine the appropriate facility (RR?) will be available.
  14. Not sure whether Harris is riding at Lynn. He has a Long Track meeting in Germany the following afternoon. Would a facility be allowed?
  15. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/could-coventry-bees-speedway-team-13045516 Not sure this is the answer. Bees fans have voted with their feet before on NL speedway and, despite what Eastbourne and Birmingham fans say, the league isn't a breath of fresh air after top flight speedway. I wouldn't be happy about missing an attractive Peterborough match, the like of which I saw on Saturday night, to go and watch Coventry V Buxton in a half closed Brandon on a Sunday afternoon. It may serve as a useful stop gap to try and get us back on track in the short term though.
  16. As good as Lambert was tonight, I actually thought Worrall was the star of the show. He was tremendous from the back. Thought he was going from 4th to 1st on the last lap of heat 15! He's made such progress the last 4 years.
  17. Agreed. Absolute classic. Panthers have some thinking to do, but what a meeting. Brilliant stuff.
  18. You certainly managed to upset Jeff Davies with these comments. Disappointing that he chose to lambast the BSF given that he is, no doubt, in possession of more of the facts than any of us. There needs to be an understanding that fans are emotional and angry about the situation, and looking to sound off and blame people. All we, as fans, can see is three parties that are all on a different page. The campaign group have obviously met Mr Sandhu and believe his intentions are genuine, but everything we're being told suggests that he is the biggest blocker to action ever returning to the stadium.
  19. Whoever told you that is talking utter rubbish, and Heat 15 is up on the BSPA you tube channel to prove it. Barker guilty of nothing more than trying to entertain, which should earn him some sort of award given the quality of the racing at Owlerton the last couple of years. Speedway riders are such a collective bunch of whiners these days it's little surprise that Barker keeps upsetting them with a bit of hard riding.
  20. He was always at one. The bloke who wrote the newspaper article doesn't know the rules. Not a rule I agree with actually. Manager should be allowed to programme the top 5 in any order they see fit.
  21. Not particularly. Gets himself into bother a bit but usually comes out of it unscathed. Apart from his brainwave at Cardiff against Lambert can't really remember any major aggro with any other riders.
  22. Out of interest what have you got against Garrity? He's a bit rough around the edges granted, but he's probably the most approachable speedway rider I can think of in modern day speedway. Top lad is Jason and very appreciative of his fans.
  23. Morris will be at one. He inherits Kasprzak's average for the evening.
