The Ref Is A Clown.
BritPete replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The referee is poor, no question about it, BUT I do not thing that he had any other option than to exclude Crump on the second occassion, Crump kept doggedly to the outside, and he payed then price, there is no way anyone else could have been excluded here! The first crump exclusion though, was absolutely appalling, and I just hope the ref gest excluded! -
I went to Odsal, but that is now history, the the Millennium stadium is superb, the ref is poor, but, the meeting, in my opinion, is good!
-
The racing is not too bad, especially as it is a one-off track!
-
I realize you are disappointed, but, Crump took the gamble of going around the outside, and he lost, the ref had no other choice here, I think. Crump's first exclusion though, was appalling.
-
Poor referee tonight, but, I think he got it right with Crumps second exclusion, he ran too wide and got into the deep stuff!

Does anyone else get the impression that Zagar is the track record holder! -
There was a Polish rider that I have not seen mentioned, he rode for Leicester, not too sure about the spelling, but it was something like: Stefan Kwoczala.

It has to be said, the posts of BilaHora are getting VERY tiresome.
-
Nicholls was not poor, he rode extremely well, but, his first race exclusion ultimately ruined his chances. No doubt whatsoever that the best man was second, Rickardsson had it won until the race was stopped, in the re-run he still looked like winning, however,as he eased his way past Bjarne he lifted slightly, and this completely changed the complexion of the race, he briefly lost momentum which allowed crump to pass them both, he fought back and got away from Bjarne again, and challenged Crump, too late though. Did Jonsson really say what I thought he said!
-
How on earth did he manage that?

This Gp Track Is Rubbish
BritPete replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
A breathtaking performance by THE man, surely the greatest of them all, and in my view, he does not even need a 6th win to prove it, he has won 5 genuine world individual titles, and at no time did he have to rely on anothers misfortune. -
I certainly would not underestimate Pedersen's chances, his form is good, and he has won this before, sure to have a good series. Rickardsson is still chasing his 6th win, something he was unlucky to not to do a couple of seasons ago, he was dominating the early rounds until his accident, and will be a huge threat this year. Adam's will know that his time is running out, and if he is ever going to win it, then surely it has to be this year. Crump will put a determined effort in to hold on to his title, he does try too hard sometimes though, and that could be his downfall. My top three are : Tony Rickardsson Leigh Adams Nicki Pedersen.
