What a terrific meeting! With all riders giving 100%, it was good old fashioned guts and glory racing, something I did not expect from a best pairs meeting. I hope that sulky boy Pavlic was looking in, at least he would get a glimpse of what it takes to be a speedway rider!

Danny King scoring points at Peterbrough was a big problem, It made it very difficult for him to be dropped at Leszno, even though it was most unlikey that he would do any good away from Peterborough. Another good reason NOT to include so many youngsters.

What a great meeting, one of the best ever on TV. A great advert for the sport, something it needed very badly. Team GB did plenty enough to see off totally crap opposition for 3rd place. Kennett has absolutely no class. Not good enough. Tai not too clever tonight, but worth persevering with. Bridger ditto. Harris, one great race, but not a lot else. King. The jury is still out on him, but I'm still not convinced. Too many false dawns. He has earned his place in the play-offs though, so lets's see what he can do. Race of the night has to be Crump V Zagar....absolutely breath taking.

I do not agree with this team selection at all. I will still be supporting them of course, and I just hope they win through.

Nicki P. was doing similar things not so long ago, and he is now a three times world champion. The fact of the matter is, (whether you like it or not) this type of rider will ultimately gain success at the highest level.

If it's nothing to do with Lee Richardson, then that just makes this stupid situation even worse. Mr. Lyons had better start praying that the Slovenian team don't take to the Peterborough track too well.

As far as I'm concerned it is sheer madness to leave out our best rider. Why take the chance? After reading the "Backtrack" magazine just now, maybe there is another reason for this crazy team selection. John Berry states that rumour has it that there has been a "major" falling out between two of Englands most senior riders. Make of that what you will.
