  1. A very enjoyable meeting. If you didn't like that, then you will never be satisfied with speedway. This is the best GP series ever and it's very hard to predict a winner. Crump and Nick are really struggling, Nicki is so slow now, or his bikes are! Crump is having a very strange series, with the legacy of his injuries, you may have expected him to start strongly, and then fade, but quite the opposite is happening. Bizarre.
  2. This was a huge event in it's time, but that time has now passed. Even in the 1960s, riders' had problems fitting the meetings in, and often would over-run into the next month. Imagine the problems there would be now! It's best left to rest in peace.
  3. I always used to like watching Ken Mc.Kinlay. He was a super stylist, and one of the few that could take points of the big 5, sometimes! The only thing that stopped him joining them, was his inconsistency. A max. one night, and 3 points the next night was the norm for him, but on his night, he was superb. He also held the Swindon track record, along with Ronnie Moore, and Peter Craven (twice) It was 72 seconds!
  4. Just pointing something out to the ones that spelt it blatent!"
  5. Eyes down, and look in. My fabulous team will be: 1) Crump...Captain......£50,000 6) Pedersen.................£45,000 8) Bjerre.....................£35,000 10) Andersen...............£35,000 13) Hampel..................£25,000 Grand Total: £190,000. Thank you.
  6. Probably not, but he does go very well at Swindon, and his form at Wolverhampton was good.
  7. As I recall it, Barry Briggs was featured in "This Is Your Life" hosted by Eamon Andrews. I think it was in the early 70s.
  8. Didn't Olsen beat Mauger in heat one, and then went on to get a max? That's the way I recall it.
  9. Listening to what Olsson said in his interview, I wouldn't bet on things being very much different.
  10. Cast you minds back a couple of seasons or so, Gollob did to Nicki, exactly what Nicki did to Gollob, on this very track....but as Nicki was on the receiving end....no one really cared!
  11. Crump is injured, and even if he does ride, he ain't gonna win it!.....So, Hancock will be my captain for this one!
  12. Where's Emil, I know he's only 19, because Sky Sports told me!
  13. An amazing outcome! JD who has done so well at Coventry before, and Pavlic....the big white hope....both fall like autumn leaves.....as one of the outsiders of the field twice beats Holder to gain the overall victory. You couldn't make it up!
  14. With only 3 going through, it should be some meeting. JD is the dark horse tonight, he only dropped 1 point here in the world cup a while ago...and he beat Nicki! Can he possibly go through tonight? it's gonna be tough. What about sulky boots? I think we will see an improvement on his league form here, but hopefully not enough for him to become a GP rider!
