  1. It most definitley IS Middlo, and he has posted on here many times before, usually around the SWC time.
  2. Yes indeed, but I was reffering to team GB. Poland were not last of course, but who expected Finland to finish anywhere else. Also, i did mis-read your post Sub, sorry for that.
  3. Hard to believe what you are saying Sub Dude! Only Gollob scored more than Loram tonight.! Maybe if Loram was Polish you would give him some credit! Or, are you just miffed because your adopted team finish last in their own country?
  4. Suberb meeting. Australia would have won with ease had it not been for Todd's E/F while leading, and his fall when challenging. Great show by the Brits though. Can we go all the way? Maybe, just maybe!
  5. No, I layed Poland, so, it didn't matter who won----as long as it wasn't Poland.
  6. At last betfair have decided to cover the SWC. With live betting betting as well.
  7. After going through all the heats I have come to the conclusion that Poland are far to short a price. I am certainly not saying thay won't win, but I make it very close between them and Austalia. Expekt, unibet, nordicbet and a few others have yet to put their prices up so maybe there will be something there to look at. Betfair it seems are not bothering with it, not at the moment anyway, and this is a great shame because my ideal bet here would be to lay Poland and keep a close eye on the live market. Any other opinions?
  8. In most sports you would be correct, however, the bookies are not masters of speedway and they make several mistakes. It's just a question of waiting for them--and pouncing. A few years ago at Eastbourne in a SWC qualifier, the line up was Poland v GB V Sweden v Hungary (or someone similar) Straight away Hungary could be ruled out, and indeed Poland as well. Poland because although that had a decent team, they were never going to beat Sweden or GB at this tricky little track. But the bookies were unaware of this. So, it was a two horse race, and 6/4 was available on each team, an offer I took up without hesitation. As recently as last night the bookies once again got it wrong in the Coventry V Arena match, one bookie made it Coventry - 14, this was an absurd handicap, did they not know how weakened Arena were? furthermore, were they not aware of what happened at Arena recently against Coventry? and because of that Coventry were always going to be to out for revenge! And they got it!
  9. Lanham in a GP qualifier? You cannot be serious, unless of course the meeting was being held at Arena!
  10. I notice that Todd has signed for Vastervik and makes his debut tonight in a home match against Piraterna. Vastervik look very strong now!
  11. You mean we should all start learning Swedish now?
  12. LOL. Danny Bird in the world cup! LOL, thank you for the best laugh I have had this season! (so far) LOL!
  13. Surely it's time for Olsen to go. It was generally agreed by the riders tonight that the track was nice and grippy at the practise, so why was it so slick for the actual meeting? It's a nonsense, the meeting was crap. There was a certain amount of overtaking, but it reached nothing like the potential that this track has. Ole, go away, your time is up!
  14. Yes, I looked at that as well, every chance I would think, I will stick to one bet though.
  15. No doubt all the Oxford fans will gather around the telly cheering on Tony Rickardsson!
  16. I do not get too involved in GB betting but there is a bet that catches my eye! and I have taken it for small stakes for a bit of interest really. Expekt are offering, in a H2H, Lindback V Richardson. Richardson is priced at 1.95. Last year at this venue he did manage to finish ahead of Lindback, JUST. Lee has been messing about in league racing lately, and the reason of course is his preparation for this meeting. I get the feeling he will have a decent meeting, one thing for sure, if he can reproduce his world cup form, he will blow Lindback out of the water! Of course though, there is aways a doubt where Lee is involved. The bet is about who finishes the meeting in the highest position. Not who wins when they meet.
  17. There are always two sides to a story, and a certain Lynette Schlein has put forward a different slant on the sad affair via Yahoo.
  18. I was there! LOL. In fact I was look down on the run up to first bend where the Penhall/Carter incident started. I have no plans to return to the USA though.
  19. Split Waterman was involved in a scandal, but it was nothing to do with speedway, he did, I believe serve a prison sentence in the 60's (?) for something to do with smuggling! Also, a member of the pit staff at a particular track, said the he had overhead a conversation between Ove Fundin and Peter craven about "fixing" a race in the golden helmet match race challenge, an investigation was held, but no evidence was found against either rider.
  20. And how many didn't pay? According to Speedwayworldtv, Crump has been called upon to ride for VMS tonight! Could he be a two timer loser in play-offs? Teams according to Vastervik's website: Västervik: Tomasz Chrzanowski Bjarne Pedersen Niels Kristian Iversen Sebastian Ulamek Tomasz Gollob Peter Ljung Robert Johansson (F) Johan Engman VMS Elit: Jason Crump Ales Dryml Lee Richardson Wieslaw Jagus Rune Holta Jörgen Zetterberg Robin Aspegren Thomas H Jonasson This is the same team that went to Vastervik during the season, and got a draw! But, Bjarne Pedersen scored only 5 points, tonight he should do better. Crump on that night scored just 8 points. This should be a closely fought encounter!
  21. I can't find the live updates, anyone know where they are hiding?
