Well there we have it! Matt Ford has won one of the biggest prizes in world sport! I've heard, from, a reliable sauce, that the residents of Outer Mongolia are truly delighted with Poole's stupendous victory last night, and even as we speak they are having the biggest party in world history along the great wall. -

What a tragedy for British speedway, as the mighty Matt Ford cheats a title. -

Birmingham have been the best team all season and I hope they can be the best team in the play-offs too. I certainly hope they can put up a more spirited effort than Swindon did, although that would not be too difficult. I just hope they can keep it close tonight. -
Nice bit of Polish speed there for the winner!

Lol! Bad error!

Congratulations go to Thai. Already I'm looking forward to next years series, it could be the best one yet!

This is a result that nobody had anticipated, and even though injuries went his way, he probably would have won it anyway. What a great season he's having. My bets were on Emil and Ward, but that's the way the cookie crumbles!

d I was at that meeting and the race consisted of four American Riders. Penhall needed to win that race to win the meeting. However, he decided to not to get involved in the race, and to help his fellow countrymen out instead, so he settled into last place, and did wheelies for the entire four laps. He didn't reckon on the reaction of the crowd though, and they gave him the sort of reception normally reserved for Ivan Mauger! Juicy Brucie had never experienced anything like that before, and he did not like it very much!

Not to mention another rule that suddenly appeared, stating that no team could have more than one eight point rider, affecting only Coventry, according to my memory, then, hey presto! that rule vanished the following season, thus allowing Ford to include terrible twins in his side. Just coincidence, i'm sure!

Oh I see, it's an old article.Swindon fans will remember that match! Chris Holder, I believe, held court before the meeting, and he told the assembled few what he was about to do, then we were treated to the wonderful spectacle of Travis McGowan, passing Holder. Also, Leigh Adams made a comment about what Poole were up to on that night. They had a whitewash of an inquiry that wasn't worth a bag of beans!

The way things are heading, Kennett may well be a No.1!

What a great ride by PK! It's just a pity he did not start the meeting like that. -

It was Swindon's to lose, and we did it spectacularly! The worse thing that could have happened was Kennett being in heat 14, if the match happened to be on it! Bad mistake by Rosco to switch the riding order. Mind you, Poole wanted it more, and they got it! At least I have money on them at a big price to win the league, so it's not all bad. -

This really is Swindon's to lose. We definitely have the riders to do this, in fact we have six that can get useful points at Poole, and who knows, maybe even seven. Of course, we also have a ten point lead, and if the track is wet, well, that won't do us any harm. Swindon's to lose for sure. -

I hope he doesn't ride if he's not fit. Tweets Hans Andersen @Hansi_Andersen2h Really hope this feels better soon as giving me lots of pain and trouble at the moment pic.twitter.com/w3OR4MbriM View photo
