I don't think there's too much in it between Ward and Phil Crump. Both good racers, but you can't read too much into Crump's third place in a world final, because he was the only rider on Neil Street's four valve invention,which was a huge mechanical advantage, and it could be argued that he should have won that meeting.

As a 4 times world champion, Briggo has got to be the best Swindon rider ever. Leigh Adams was the best team man, though.

Fantastic news if it happens. Swindon needs bums on seats, and Ward is one of the very few riders who can do that. In a poll carried out by total sport over 83% of Swindon fans want him. I don't care about winning the league and l never have done, after all it's a joke sport and a tinpot league. I have no time for the dark side of Ward, but on track he is fabulous.Bring it on! (I hope)

I made Leicester or Swindon favourites for getting Darcy Ward,but with Leicester signing Swidders, does that rule out Leicester? If so, then I know who my money would be on!
