posh panther replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I also like what I saw of the Berwick track on sky last season...beats poxy Lakeside, Eastbourne and Belle Vue..Elite?...realy?..I think there are actualy bigger attendances in the Prem and better tracks and stadiums! -

Great news..Can anyone tell me the format for the premier league and how many fixtures we are likely to have at home as I might put in a last minute cheeky request for a season ticket for Xmas. Lewis Blackbird will be the next signing ..unless he changes his mind and chooses Sheffield. -
Loser!..whats your day job?..health and safety or traffic warden?!
-
Alan Swan is getting exactly what he set out to do by getting a reaction from you all..Things are still happening in the background..an article by some local tinpot reporter who hates speedway but thinks cricket is exciting means nothing!
-
I have heard from someone I know who rides in the prem that he has already been approached to sign for us so things are looking positive..fingers crossed. I have to say I was never in favour of dropping down to the prem but after realising last season what a tinpot product the elite league is and how overrun it is with corruption why not give it a go.

That is absoloute rubbish IMO..people keep saying that he kept us going for another five years..Someone would have taken us over then which will be proved in a few weeks when our new owners in place...do you think the same people wouldnt have taken us on in the Elite 5years ago...er no!
-
Cant believe people are already building our PL team!..Im more interested in who is interested in us??...just slow down and keep them fingers crossed..I wasn't keen on premier but im warming to it when I think of tracks like Berwick and Somerset compared to joke tracks like Lakeside and B.Vue..My bets are a Jim lynch/Peter Oaks consortium type situation.

Promising news tomorrow in peterborough evening telegraph apparrantly..
-
..or premier league..North as a heat leader?...maybe I'm being a bit negative there but I just cant believe our owners did us like that.....came in, did their five years, didn't win anything so threw us away like a toy that they've had enough of and obviously did'nt give a toss about the fans.

The source is Peterborough evening telegraph sports writer Mark Plummers twitter.
-
They have had a few calls of interest to the Pboro evening telegraph today so fingers crossed all is not lost.
-
I just cant understand why they just didnt sell up at the end of the season so someone else could take us on????Please explain Rick...Its like having a ferrari on credit that you cant afford and instead of letting it go you would rather crash it so no one else can have it or enjoy it!
-
We get no more or less support than any other elite league club actualy..I cant blame him for walking away...just wish he'd have done it at the end of the season when we was a viable elite league club to take over rather than now where he has left us completely in the S+++ with no where to turn.
-
Can I just point out once again that as a Boro lad I share none of the opinions or thoughts of that troll weirdo that drags us down on here..Just shut up mate, your'e an embarrasment.
-
Nice of Frost just to pull out and close us down without giving someone else the opportunity to take us over which I think would have happened when we was a registered Elite league side..Its too late now and He will be now known as the man who brought Peterborough speedway to an end after over 40 odd years of speedway. I admired what he stood for but if this is the result he has took it too far and obviously didnt give the fans a thought as we are now without anything...which is confirmed even more by not even bothering to announce it on the clubs website..I've had a crap weekend and this has just put the nail in the coffin..Gutted.

He's coming....in you dreams!

...Did you see what that weirdo's been posting on the BSF again? -
For me I would bust a gut to employ Buz, Killer, Fish, Hougaard and possibly Norb because they were awesome to watch towards the end of last season.

Not a bad meeting with some good racing on a track which was near perfect and It shouldnt have been abandoned( especialy by referee Steele who let that farce go ahead at B.vue a few weeks ago!) as track was fine and visibility was no worse than when it started IMO..Also I thought Bjerre should have been excluded for causing Norbi to bail out. He looked superb tonight(Norb I mean) and I hope we keep him along with Buz, Killer(makorpi), Fish and Hougaard who had a terrible crash tonight. These guys are all racers and that is what I want to see. I would give Hougaard rider of the season for the way he turned things around and I would also give Buzz a 5 year contract as he is superb to watch even when he is last as is the Killer. Wonder if there will be any snippets from the awards bash after?? -
You lot are talking rubbish..Who cares about Pavlic...True brit Bombers in there, always gives his all and we should be behind him..superb round the showground lastnight and lets hope he repeats it today...and lets also hope he signs for the Panthers next year!.We will back you all the way son. Cmon Bomber!
