Stadium has been run down for years. A few plastic seats bought from the old Plough Lane Stadium and the new refs box is the only changes I can recall recently. First thing the promotion needed to do was address the adverse camber on the first/second bends. As far as I'm aware planning permission was only given a couple of weeks before the start of the season. I don't think major stadium redevelopment can be done during the season.
