On the track team building didn't quite work out as planned due to various factors. Too much reliance on Kennett, but the team as a whole is far more consistent than last year. The team look a lot happier these days. Peter Schroeck has installed a great team spirit Off the track the stadium is taking shape slowly, but surely. Pretty sure you won't recognise the place this time next year. It's great to see so many smiling faces around the place for a change.

Not entirely sure whether there would be enough extra people through the gate to justify going EL

Barker was an 8 point rider and should be averaging nearly 9 points. 7.70 is very good for a second string, but a point below what you'd expect

Tear up the rule book and start again

I'm not interested in crowd figures, I'm not an accountant, but if there were 150 Eastbourne fans there, then at least 100 of them were disguised as flagpoles. Let's face it, if your home crowds were anything to shout about you wouldn't be languishing in the training league. A little bit of PL envy me thinks -

I presume the dog was your guide dog -
THE festival I suspect. Surely you've heard of it? Accommodation anywhere near the city will have either been snapped up, or at a premium. Better off basing yourself in Berwick and travelling up on the train

You would assume that, yes

In Garritys last season at Rye he was very inconsistent while putting in match winning performances for Coventry in the EL. Many of us suspected he wasn't really putting the effort in for us while getting rave reviews on Sky. I'm not saying Kerr isn't putting 100% for Ipswich, just making a comparison.

Rye have Peter Karger, roughly in the same position, but he continues to get the support of team manager and promotion in publc while under great pressure due to poor performances. Then he beat Sam Masters....

As a stand alone club who've dropped down two leagues they need one. I'm pretty sure we'd be the same if we only had a National League team. We won't live or die on the fortunes of the Raiders. The Rockets are the number one priority at Rye House. -

Reckon Ellis would've gone through the card yesterday. Big loss for Eastbourne -

You could feel the crowds mood fall flat after a few heats. Takes the gloss off the Rockets victory for me. I don't like to knock the younger more inexperienced Raiders, but there comes a point when you just get bored with it all. -

To be honest I was bored after a couple of heats when you know you've no chance of keeping it competitive. It's not as if Eastbourne were particularly good. We're just carrying too many riders and if Luke Priest ain't firing it's always gonna be a struggle -

Bit of a let down after the Rockets match, even the few Eastbourne fans got bored and started cheering Rye fallers louder than their heat wins. As a stand alone meeting it would've been a shocker, but at least the main event was entertaining. It felt like walking into a party when all the good looking birds had gone home and there was no beer left. -
Would miss at least 4 meetings due to Swindon commitments

Something else to take into consideration is Morley & Branford will have at least 11 rides between them in the Rockets match, so man and machine will be pretty knackered, especially towards the end of the meeting. -

It's a shame it's the second part of a double header. The track won't be good -

I agree with you on the first point. It'll be a gaters paradise in the second half of the double header unless someone makes a mistake (NL, so there will be a few) Branford started the season late, still averaging over 10, joint second highest in the NL after Morley according to the official averages. That's 30 points. Where are the other 16 points gonna come from?
