  1. As a stand alone club who've dropped down two leagues they need one. I'm pretty sure we'd be the same if we only had a National League team. We won't live or die on the fortunes of the Raiders. The Rockets are the number one priority at Rye House.
  2. Reckon Ellis would've gone through the card yesterday. Big loss for Eastbourne
  3. You could feel the crowds mood fall flat after a few heats. Takes the gloss off the Rockets victory for me. I don't like to knock the younger more inexperienced Raiders, but there comes a point when you just get bored with it all.
  4. To be honest I was bored after a couple of heats when you know you've no chance of keeping it competitive. It's not as if Eastbourne were particularly good. We're just carrying too many riders and if Luke Priest ain't firing it's always gonna be a struggle
  5. Some of them are a little too precious. You get a lot of that from supporters of sides who've dropped down the leagues.
  6. Bit of a let down after the Rockets match, even the few Eastbourne fans got bored and started cheering Rye fallers louder than their heat wins. As a stand alone meeting it would've been a shocker, but at least the main event was entertaining. It felt like walking into a party when all the good looking birds had gone home and there was no beer left.
  7. Would miss at least 4 meetings due to Swindon commitments
  8. Something else to take into consideration is Morley & Branford will have at least 11 rides between them in the Rockets match, so man and machine will be pretty knackered, especially towards the end of the meeting.
  9. It's a shame it's the second part of a double header. The track won't be good
  10. Ivan Mauger, Ronnie Moore, Barry Briggs, Mitch Shira, Larry Ross, Bruce Cribb
  11. I agree with you on the first point. It'll be a gaters paradise in the second half of the double header unless someone makes a mistake (NL, so there will be a few) Branford started the season late, still averaging over 10, joint second highest in the NL after Morley according to the official averages. That's 30 points. Where are the other 16 points gonna come from?
  12. Probably the best option looking at the scores from the others
  13. Yeah, I don't s'pose he'll be back this year, shame.
  14. Yeah, must've been your Twit pics. Rye House gets blue grooves, but from those photos it looks like Rye after a 30 heat double header.
  15. Amazing how much you can save when you have no life and sponge off your parents.£15K won't get you much these days. You won't, for instance, have enough for a deposit on a property, should you want to leave the comfort of mummy's bosom. Renting in the public sector is a rip off. It'll get you a decent set of wheels when you discover public transport is next to useless.
  16. The guest I've heard about has a PL team place. Perhaps that rule doesn't affect the reserve position
  17. So do I given his usual scores at Rye House
  18. A couple of interesting photos of the track with a massive blue groove on the first bend
  19. A sensible rule as far as I'm concerned. Kenny Bowdery has been at number 2, so that average isn't really surprising. From what I've seen only Macauley Leek has anything about him
  20. Expect a fairly easy Eastbourne win against virtually a three man Raiders side. Looking forward to seeing Dan Bewley again. Won't be any shale left on the track unfortunately, so it could be mostly gate and go. I'm not a fan of double headers.
  21. A guest for Hummel has already been sourced
