  1. Where on the Rye website are the riders averages?
  2. Very surprised at getting a full refund. Never happened before. Full marks to Mr Godfrey for this brilliant gesture
  3. Tend to agree with jubileeclip unfortunately
  4. I lived above, worked in, ran and owned a chippy for 40 years. Deep frying pastry products is an appalling thing to do.
  5. God knows why Sky keep popping up to Berwick when there's tracks like Scunthorpe & Peterborough. Scunny perhaps not this year as the team are so poor, but this fixture has a history of good meetings. Baffling
  6. No no no no... A fried pie? These are baked and delicious. I heartily recommend them. Burgers pretty decent too
  7. Here goes.... Luke Chessell claimed he had no machinery after problems with the two bikes used as a guest in a couple of PL meetings. Cradley booked Matt Williamson as a guest for the meeting (quite acceptable within current rules). Kevin Jolly blew a gasket and cancelled the meeting. On reflection he changed his mind and tried to get the meeting back on, but for whatever reason that wasn't possible. Social media goes into meltdown and KJ announces he's taking a short break from speedway. Quite a few people, unaware of the drama unfolding, turn up at West Row for the meeting and are quite rightly disappointed and angry. That's how I understand it. Please feel free to correct any inaccuracies
  8. The food is better at Berwick Rangers matches. Proper food truck with fish & chips, battered haggis and Scotch pies.
  9. You're a man of supposed intelligence. You know the track is very different from way back then. You saw it with your own eyes the other week
  10. If it's the usual Berwick track Pearson & Tatum will do very well to talk this up
  11. Crowds seem up from last year. I've spoken to people I haven't seen there for years. The team isn't the strongest and the stadium is in the process of regeneration, but it's all looking positive.
  12. There were well over a dozen of us there Rayleigh. Mostly sheltering from the rain close to the first bend.
  13. Wasted journey, but only ourselves to blame, the forecast was horrible. There was no way this was getting to heat 10, so to abandon it was correct. In my opinion with a forecast of 80% chance of heavy rain it should've been called off mid afternoon. Still, at least we got a full refund on the way out and some chilli & chips from the snack bar. Hope I can make the restaging.
  14. Anyone with half a brain could see that the reserve pairing was going to be weak. What on earth were Ipswich thinking when they bought Castagnas contract?
