Is Danny Aires as OTT as that after every heat win, or was it enhanced for the cameras? Closest I've seen in recent years was Andrew Silver after a meeting at Rye in 2009, but that was after a 6 ride paid maximum.

Wasn't he on borrowed equipment last year, some sort of patched up machine cobbled together? Glasgow have the finances to kit him out, whereas Berwick chose not to, you can't really blame them as it wouldn't really be fair on the other members of the team.

Been to Arena Essex for stock cars/bangers. The crowds during the summer are huge, far outnumbering speedway attendances.

You could see what they were thinking with Greenwood after his last outing there, but why not go for the best possible guest, unless Ben wasn't allowed to in the regulations. I notice Ben has NEG PLR against his name on the NL green sheets. Perhaps Rob Branford was unavailable, or too expensive
