People moan about the lack of personalities in modern speedway. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but he's box office. The sport needs more like him -

If that's the case then they'll lose me. The Cardiff GP is about the social side as well as the speedway. Walking around the city bumping into old friends and acquaintances in the numerous bars, cafes and restaurants is a huge part of the Cardiff experience. I can't think of a better location more suited to the social side of speedway. How many speedway tracks can offer that, not to mention all the hotels, guest houses and student digs a few minutes walk away. -

Go to Specsavers -
Apart from me after heat 3, no

I'll be there. Unfortunately there's no Berwick tour bus coming down, so you won't have rival noise makers to contend with.

So is highlighting and using the italic font on your posts. Attention seeking or what? -
Only been going in the PL years, but locals say the racing was better in the top division. Has the track shape changed since then?

Only been to 5 GP's at Cardiff (missed 2007). As a weekend event I always enjoyed the Friday night social more than the actual GP, as I found the racing a bit dull. After a slow start the racing got better. Definitely the best meeting I've seen there. Why do they insist on removing caps from soft drinks bottles? -
Firstly, you need a track that you can race on.

Hmmmm... yeah.... well.... I can only apologise for my industrial language. Dunno why, maybe me getting older, but I seem to swearing a lot these days, especially at speedway. -

One of the best British GP's I've seen and the main topic of conversation is a rider swearing. I dunno if it was a big deal or not, I haven't seen the footage, I was at the stadium. Was it really that bad? -

Oh dear. You were saying? -
Len Silver was very interested, but then he upped sticks and moved to Kent

You're both. Wasn't great, but it never is when you see your team lose. I said a point was the best we could get and they duly obliged. Branford looks in a different league to Karger, who I suspect wouldn't have scored a point. Didn't think King would be interested with the GP two days away, but fair play to him, although a fit and well Kennett may have made a difference. I thought he looked under power, but have since learned he's nursing an ear infection and has pulled out of the PL Pairs after aggregating a shoulder injury in that heat 13 fall. One of the worst refereeing decisions I've seen in recent years when Risager was given the win in heat 3 when Heeps clearly crossed the line half a wheel ahead (I was dead opposite the start/finish line with a clear view. Fully expected to see Branford in heat 14, would love to know why he wasn't considered. Why do they only open the stadium to the public 45 minutes before the start?

Getting slagged off by a know nothing won't give me any sleepless nights I assure you.
