  1. Interesting to hear Gary Havelocks words at the Monster Bash last night. Not going to change much too soon was roughly what he said. From this years side I can only see three certainties for next year, TJ, Liam and Kevin. I kinda got the feeling that Seb didn't think he'd be ready. Tom Perry looked decent, but if the three point reserve rule is continued there may not be room for him and Liam in the side. One of them would have to start outside the reserve berth.
  2. Chances are he'd be dropped, quit, or be injured before he pitched up at Newcastle
  3. Adam Allott must've been touching an 8 point average at Kings Lynn and about 4.00 away. Can't think of anyone who was more of a one track rider than him
  4. If I was Robert Branford, looking at that away average, I'd be thinking about moving away from Rye
  5. Look, we've all had a good giggle at Barker, but what if his throttle was really stuck open. Don't crucify the bloke unless you're 100% sure.
  6. Scunthorpe recently used Bates as a guest at reserve at Rye in place of Carl Wilkinson. He scored 14 from 7. Luckily it didn't matter that day.
  7. There is no way in this world that the Rockets will be in the final. I expect a Newcastle win by 24-26 points today
  8. I can't see how it can be avoided with the lack of talent in the top tier. The only way is fixed race nights for both leagues, but I can't see that happening.
  9. You're dreaming as far as Rob Branford is concerned, sorry.
  10. Doubt it'd make any difference against Newcastle
  11. I agree. MPT on a sub 6 point average would be a good signing, on that average... forget it. I'd rather have NBJ back on his sub 7 point average.
  12. The only Aussie I can recall who had less confidence was Kurt Shields.
  13. Just seen the Peterborough line up. Is it April 1st already?
  14. Rye fans had a vote for Rocket & Raider of the year. Personally I voted for Rob. Ok, Edward Kennett has carried the side for most of the season and Robbo has looked like the Robbo of old at times, but for me, Branford has been a breath of fresh air since his inclusion in the side.
  15. Last time I was there was after the Rockets shock KOC victory over the Bandits. That'll be the last time I'll go there. Too old for nightclubs
  16. Really hoping the club continues to run, as like you I've no idea what I'll be doing on Saturday nights without speedway in Berwick.
  17. I like the idea of walking up to a speedway stadium and being able to watch from wherever I want without the fear of having my head kicked in.
  18. Correct. Hammers have him in the line up on their website
  19. Raiders probable line up: 1. Rob Branford 2. Matt Saul 3. Luke Priest 4. George Hunter 5. Ben Morley 6. Macaulay Leek 7. Connor Locke
