  1. Ben Morley must be nailed on now the Raiders are no more
  2. Daft is quite mild for me. Someone who's been going to Rye House since the 70's will no longer be going because they've moved to a different league? I wish I was in your position to have a choice. I'll be over 300 miles away. Doubt I'll see the Rockets at all next year
  3. Your argument is a little daft regarding seeing the same teams two or three times a season. Firstly, we saw Somerset and Plymouth twice last year in the League Cup and Premier League. Ipswich twice in the PL & KOC. Secondly, you don't have to go to every meeting, just pick and choose. The Premiership will just be a revamped PL. To say you won't be going at all seems a bit baffling. The extra money you'll spend travelling up to Peterborough will negate the extra pound or two entrance at Rye
  4. How many of last years new riders do you think have a future in the sport? None that I saw. A couple of em struggled to complete 4 laps without falling off after a season of racing. The Raiders were doomed when Andrew Silver left the club
  5. http://m.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/no-national-league-speedway-at-rye-house-next-season/story-29885182-detail/story.html Last year was embarrassing. Only the NL4's made it bearable. If you're really that desperate to see NL racing, Mildenhall is only an hour or so away
  6. If they still run on Friday you'll need most of the weekend to get there
  7. Some people reading far too much into the DW tweet. Team speedway is slowly dying on its arse. Too expensive to run, not enough people paying through the gate. It can only go one way
  8. Could be they've tarmacked the old dog track for easier access. It was certainly in the plans
  9. From Hertfordshire Mercury http://m.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/scott-outlines-bold-plans-for-rye-house/story-29883976-detail/story.html
  10. The nearest Premiership track to me will be 209 miles away ☹️
  11. They demolished the lower bar. We used to stop by for a drink or two after the meetings, but there's only the bar at the top of the main stand which I've never been a fan of, so we don't bother.
  12. Rye are lucky to have a rail station bang on the doorstep and a pretty decent pub right next to the stadium
  13. I won't see anyone Vinny. I'm relocating ooop North
  14. Oh blimey, I just saw that. Never liked the name "Elite" anyway
  15. May as well move this thread to the EL section now
  16. Shouldn't affect the Berwick attendance whatsoever.
  17. I'd rather stick needles in my testicles than support another team. Once a Rocket always a Rocket
  18. Even Jon Cook reckons Rye are going Elite
  19. Interesting to hear Gary Havelocks words at the Monster Bash last night. Not going to change much too soon was roughly what he said. From this years side I can only see three certainties for next year, TJ, Liam and Kevin. I kinda got the feeling that Seb didn't think he'd be ready. Tom Perry looked decent, but if the three point reserve rule is continued there may not be room for him and Liam in the side. One of them would have to start outside the reserve berth.
