  1. I'll let you know after the last 2 riders have been named
  2. Gappmaier and Carr will be swapping places throughout the season I suspect
  3. Would help massively as far as getting there is concerned. The M5 is murder on Fridays. Away supporters better leave yourselves plenty of time. We tend to make a day of it. Visit the nearby cider farms and a couple of hours by the beach at Weston or Burnham. Cheddar Gorge isn't far away either, about 10-12 miles
  4. If you're going on owners I reckon Rye House are pretty much up there. Doesn't mean they're gonna throw money at it like confetti. I'm pretty indifferent about Poole, I'm still getting to grips with moving up a league and haven't followed the old EL and the politics behind it. Poole are the bench mark for other teams to aspire to in my opinion.
  5. I'm clueless with the old EL rules. Can a number 1 take an injury replacement ride if say the fifth averaged rider withdraws injured? That doesn't seem fair
  6. Oh blimey, I forgot about the tactical ride!I always thought 10 points was too low in the old Premier League, especially now you get a point for losing by 6 or less. Get an 8-1 in the tactical race and all of a sudden you could be only 3 points behind. I think 14 is a fairer losing margin to allow a tactical ride.
  7. Really? I must've missed that one. How's that gonna work?
  8. Pretty much as I had the 1-5, but with Harris & Watt swapped
  9. What happens if they're in the promotion/relegation play off at the end of the season, lose on purpose?
  10. First season of top flight racing and a promotion relatively new to speedway. They should be applauded for taking the risk financially. Going for experience in your first season is key in my opinion. The top five will know all of the tracks (bar Somerset and perhaps Belle Vue if you want to be picky) very well. Rather surprised the ambitious Glasgow backers weren't interested in stepping up, but I s'pose they're content being a big fish in a small pond. Now Somerset are out of the way, they have one less "big fish" to worry about. There weren't many Rye fans I know who were overly keen on the step up to the top division, but with the new dumbed down Premiership it's a relatively small step. You never know unless you try.
  11. Reserves are likely to stay there all season unless one, or both have a great year and Robbo/Watt have stinkers. That's my greatest concern
  12. People harping on about heats 13 & 15 tend to overlook there are many heats where they'll come up against lesser riders. The likes of Doyle can only have 5 rides maximum. Even if he wins every race, it doesn't guarantee his team mates will be able to back him up
  13. Ahhh, right. I must've missed that. Cheers for updating
  14. Sorry Gaz, I'm not up to speed. Was there a falling out?
  15. It's not watered down if you're a Rye House regular. It's a step up. Also, the admission at Rye has been the same for 3 or 4 years
  16. How can you say that before seeing who everyone else has signed? He'll be fifth in the averages, not a heat leader.
  17. Is that definitely happening at Lakeside? If so, Morley a shoe in for the number 1 spot
  18. To put it into perspective, Leigh Lanham was our fourth averaged rider at the start of last season
  19. Chris Evans would put many off going. Craig Saul does a great job and a nice bloke to boot
  20. Watt likely to be the 4th average rider, not competing for a heat leader place, so less pressure on him. If his heads on he could be the trump card.
