How on earth did Ellis get saddled with a 7 point average? -

It says "agreed, not "allowed" on the website. RR for Ellis means they are much stronger, with Morris, BWD, Bellego and the reserves allowed to take his rides. Puts Swindon as favourites to go through in my opinion, even if we had Branford. I wouldn't be surprised if Swindon sneak a win tomorrow. -

Ellis rode for Ipswich at Rye in August 2014, scoring 6+1 from 4 riding at number 7 Previously, at the end of May that year, he scored 1 from 3 riding at number 6, falling in his last ride and withdrawn from the meeting. In April he had 4 rides in the league cup, scoring 6+1 from 4 including a race win in heat 2. -

Anything more than a 10 point deficit after the first leg would be tricky to pull back. I've always thought it's easier to defend a lead in the second leg. Onus is on the home team to get heat advantages. Away side just need 3-3's -

I'm pretty new to the EL/Premiership forums. Does Starman take over and ruin every thread? -

There's no guarantee that you'll get them. Yesterday could've been a one off, curiosity. If it was my business I'd want to wait a while to see if crowd levels are sustained. Speedway supporters are a lot more fickle than football fans and at £18 a pop it may put some people going every week -

If I know the BMR promotion they'll be taking all that in. Raffle sellers amongst the crowd is something I was banging on about in the Silver era -

For a team meeting it is for me too. Easily matches the Ben Fund attendance from a few years back, which was reportedly over 2,000, but that was made up of supporters from many clubs -

I met and spoke to a few Rye fans who haven't been for years. I'm sure there were many more. Keeping them coming will be key. Last night was very a positive start. -
Lot to do yet, but didn't hear any complaints about the stadium. Parking was a problem, but that's out of the promoters hands.

Don't recall Kennett, Robbo & Watt getting much track time before tonight. Wolves have had 2 meetings this week and should've been sharper. -

Can't blame you for the negativity. The thought of watching David "Magic" Mason poodling around the white line every week would put me on the suicide watch list -

Someone told me ex rider Chris Johnson supplied the kevlars for Bomber & Scott. I understand he also provided Berwick with their race suits. Perhaps BMR should've bought British instead of trusting the Polish firm they're using. Six month waiting list I hear

Rye House V Wolverhampton Sat 1st April
Shadders replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With just a couple of days until our long awaited first meeting in the big boys league I've a few concerns about Saturday. Firstly, Wolves have already had a couple of meetings this week and will be sharper. As far as I know only Rob Branford, Bomber and Scott Nicholls have had any competetive laps, but nothing this past week. Don't think Edward and Davey Watt have had any recently. With gating being especially important at Rye I can see us being left at the starts. Personally, I think it was a mistake not to hold a challenge meeting, but with the ongoing situation at the stadium that would've made it difficult. Secondly, those of us who were at Rye on Wednesday would've been disappointed at the progress on the stadium rebuild. I hope fears aren't realised, but I can see only see a Wolves win. -
Only on practice days, not at meetings. That's from the promotion.
