  1. It does when you post incorrect information in an attempt to ridicule someone. Do your research I reckon it's naivety and/or lack of knowledge from the Rye House management. John Sampfotd wouldn't have stood for it. From reports, Peter Schroeck was quite coy and skirted around It when asked on Saturday Needs to grow a pair and stand up to the bullies. They knew about this fixture clash one or two days before the meeting. Why on earth did it take until two days AFTER the event to get the difinitive ruling?
  2. You make that sound like a bad thing. Get over yerself. Ok, name them
  3. Toby Carvery in Harlow, 10 mins from the track, or Wetherpoons in Hoddesdon High Street are pretty safe options if you want something cheap and cheerful. If you fancy Italian (Sicilian actually), Nonnas Kitchen in Hoddesdon is very good, but not that cheap http://www.nonnaskitchen.com/Home.aspx
  4. Anyone who saw him ride last Thursday? Now it turns out we DID have priority over Rob Branford after all!!
  5. Rye pub next door, but sometimes up to an hour wait. Anatolia down Rye Road is good if you fancy a kebab
  6. Agreed. I mentioned it in my post meeting rant. Track has always been slick, but now we have a team of racers. Give them something to race on.
  7. The ample parking at Lakeside is just about the only good thing about the place. Freezing cold and you're too far back from the track. Add to that the Friday M25 traffic.
  8. NBJ is available. Robbo is a legend at Rye. Can't see them outing him. It's run more like a family than a sports team
  9. I though it looked down on last week, but still pretty good compared to recent years. Didn't see as many away fans this time. The decent weather forecast for the weekend, combined with school holidays, probably saw a few taking a couple of days away. On a positive note, good to see the promotion install a food outlet behind the third bend (no idea what was on offer) and an ice cream van situated behind the second bend. Could be something as simple as machinery problems, but he's certainly not started the season well. I suspect he's the kind of guy who will dwell on it, which won't help
  10. The dry, dusty track didn't help him at all. Two of Watts three points were gifted to him in heat 10 after Grondal was excluded and Harris fell. The only rider he "beat" on the night was Ben Morley
  11. I'd go with the BSPA scores if I were you. Rye Updates are notorious for making mistakes
  12. Good point. It's long been argued by some that putting loads of grip down would make the track too difficult. Well it doesn't harm the Monmore track which is a similar size and shape.
  13. You're forgetting Grondal replacing him in heat 12 😉
  14. You also said Rye would hit 60. That's over the two legs presumably
  15. Anyone who thought that knows naff all about speedway
  16. Don't say I didn't warn you. Can't believe how anyone thought this would be a cakewalk for Rye. They must be idiots. Swindon were always going to take advantage of RR, it was the game changer. The four RR rides brought in 10 points. Add to that track specialists Doyle & Grondal plus Morris who was good value, not to mention BWD and it was a no brainer. Then you add to the mix Robson & Watt having a woeful start to the season and the loss of Branford.... What were you all thinking? Then we come to the track. What's the point of having a team of racers and serving up a track as slick as that? I knew it was gonna be bad when the tractor was packing down the start line area before the meeting. Crowd was down on last week, quite a lot less from where I was standing. Atmosphere was very flat. Last weeks smiles and laughter turned into scowls And grimaces. Last weeks meeting was a false dawn it seems. Wolves are woefully weak at reserve and that made it easy for us. With a Grondal in their side they would've probably won a point at least. Pleased to see my suggestions of selling raffle tickets among the crowd and an ice cream van were taken up. They even had a food stall on the third bend. Only highlight was Ellis Perks who looked aggrssive and will improve even more. Now we're all but out of the KOC, at least we can concentrate on avoiding the relegation play off. Lots to ponder for the management and promotion before the feel good factor falls off the edge of a cliff.
  17. If that's the rules in that post then surely Rye have priority as in rule 3?
  18. It seems not. Reported he's riding for Sheffield tonight
