I just phoned and secured the last room in the Big Sleep Hotel where we stayed on Saturday. I read some poor reviews on an internet site, but to be honest we found it ok. The only problems we encountered were the lack of parking (the reduced rate at the NCP next door solved that) and the creaky beds, although again that wasn't a problem for us, only the neighbours Looking forward to it already

I think you're being very harsh on a well meaning man who tried his best in difficult circumstances. I won't hear a bad word said about Big Ron If Len Silver thought he could attract more people through the turnstiles and keep a home track advantage by changing the track shape etc..I'm sure he would have done something by now I'm sure.

To be fair to Big Ron (did I really say that? ) the banking would probably have disappeared anyway when the stock cars took over in the mid 90's and the tarmac went down. Len Silver has had eight years to do something about the banking and 1st/2nd bend camber.
