  1. Well said Talk about getting something spectacularly wrong Flying Panther
  2. Hmmmm....well if he did appear for the Rockets it was more than likely away, cos I went to most of the home meetings and would've remembered the name.... Still not cleared up then
  3. Not according to Norbold's excellent..... "70 Years of Rye House Speedway" I've been a regular at Rye House since 1985..... I don't remember Chris Chaplin riding for us in 1986, at least not in any home meetings.
  4. According to my records 1983-85. He made 54 appearances for the Rockets in league and cup..... As far as I can see he hung up his leathers after the Hackney home National League match on 12th May 2005 at the age of 22.
  5. Was he riding for the Windmills at Sittingbourne in December with you Jesper?.... If he's the guy I'm thinking of then he's going to be in danger of being lapped.
  6. Errr......I think I misunderstood the title of the thread
  7. Looks an interesting line up..... Tai, Bridger, Mear, Haines, Wells, Ward and Kozza are the stand out names I can't understand why anyone would want to go and watch practice anyway
  8. I can't believe I'm agreeing with micman..... we're watching the re run of the GP now, and it's not very entertaining..... Glad I've decided to give Cardiff a miss this year..... the money I'm saving will pay for a brand new PC being built to order for me
  9. For the past few years Rye House have run an official coach to the Cardiff GP with tickets on offer.....I haven't hear any announcements so far this year.
  10. I'm with Mr Bramble on this one.....B4e and I thought the coverage was very poor. The camera angles changing every few seconds was making me dizzy..We gave it up after 3 or 4 heats. Doubt I'll be watching any more to be honest.
  11. I had to miss it due to doing the Diamonds v Berwick updates tonight....looks like I didn't miss much...Is it worth watching the repeat on Thursday evening? I think I know the answer to that

  13. There's absolutely no reason why some sort of commemoration can't be held at High Beech (or Beach..who knows?) as close to the actual date in February as possible, but for me just for the sake of access PWP has to be the place to hold some sort of event every year.
  14. The traditionalists won't like it, but I have to agree with you Andrew.
  15. Ditto....most sites allow you to read them without having to register, registering only if you want to post a comment.
  16. Cheers Whistler.....Womble told me of a similar route going through Glastonbury.....I may try that when I come down for the PL meeting in August.....if anything it'll be more scenic than the boring old M4!!
  17. Are you out of your mind? Wilson won't average more than 6 away this year, meaning that he'd have to average around 11 points at home for your statement to come true.....that's not going to happen.
  18. I saw SEVEN copies in an Oxford Street store this afternoon
