  1. I doubt It'll make me attend any more NL fixtures than I did in 2010 ... I'd have to buy Hawks clothing, programme board etc... Will they be on sale at the Rye House merchandise stall?
  2. Not really ... Rye House and Lakeside have proven track records with excellent promotions, whereas Mildenhall, in recent times, seems to have lurched from one crisis to another ... The Hawks side is no more nomad than Dudley were last season, riding their home fixtures at two different tracks.
  3. This is true, but KP and Trott only came over here for the mega bucks on offer, not because of a yearning to play cricket for England. They could've easily stayed in their homeland and played for the country of their birth.
  4. .... with three South African born players in the side
  5. I was chatting to the other half about this last night ... We saw the rider in question in action at Lakeside last October against a young National League select side and although he was a class above them he didn't look like an EL class rider to me.
  6. A VERY huge job ahead ... Surely a season in the Premier League would be the sensible option?
  7. I'd be pretty disappointed if I'd travelled all that way to see the backs of other people's heads ... Do the Ben Fund organisers take being able to see what's going on as a factor when they award these meetings?
  8. The site is now an industrial area.
  9. He didn't sound too thrilled to be an Eastbourne rider during his centre green interview Considering he managed to avoid Doolan and Barker in the heats. I counted 4 passes, that's 4 more than I usually see when I go to Newport, so all in all not a bad meeting ... I was going for a coffee, but when I saw the 50 person queue I turned round and went back to my seat ... They were selling teas and coffee's in the bar last year, so why not this time? ... The queue in the bar was non existant. What kind of idiot would want to drink cold lager outdoors on a freezing day like this?
  10. You've gotta look at the bigger picture ... With fewer heats we'll be out in the cold for less time
  11. The racing wasn't up to much last year, but any speedway is better than none after a couple of months without a fix.
  12. No need to look there. Here is the line up. Ben Barker, Steve Boxall, Lewis Bridger, Kevin Doolan, Richard Hall, David Howe, Leigh Lanham, Adam Roynon, Lee Smart, Patrick Tarp, Andreas Westlund, Carl Wilkinson.
  13. If that room has a Sky Sports feed so we can watch the cricket then yes!!!
  14. You're dropping hints about going to Plymouth next year. That's a 500+ mile round trip!! ... You must think I'M mad!!
  15. Thread already started ... http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=58972&pid=1826249&st=90&&do=findComment&comment=1826249
  16. Surely it's better to drop down a level and keep the club alive rather than close down altogether?
  17. Start with the same side you finished with this year ... That should be good for mid table at least!
  18. It's more of an indication that Len Silver is not going to throw money at the Cobras next year perhaps ... Attendances have been very poor this year
  19. That's what we pays our money to see ... Long may that policy continue
  20. I missed the Dream Team at Rye earlier this year, but was thoroughly entertained at Lakeside by the American touring side ... Hopefully a return to Rye House is in the schedule.
