Rumour is that Nelson's visa application was rejected becuase he wrote in crayon!!
-
I'd love to support the Raiders on Friday, but we're off to Somerset ... We'll be at Rye on Monday for the double header after we've been up to Leicester on Saturday... Busy weekend ahead!!
-
You said it Waco, it was freezing. Not surprised that most scurried away to warm up... Not even sure what the standard of these guys is, but I'm guessing it's a level below the NL, so would only keep the most die hard speedway fan hanging around freezing their nuts off, or the equivalant for the ladies!
-
Someone at Rye House surely knows what's going on, but the supporters are always the last to know!
-
Expect 3 or even 4 points to be winging it's way back to Loomer Road after next Mondays match with the Raiders at Rye House!
-
Haven't Travis McGowan and Jason Doyle had their visa applications similarly rejected?... Do they have a "past" too?
-
It was suggested to me last night that as Mellgren is a straight replacement for Nelson, upon his return Mellgren would have to give way... That is the same situation as Doyle/Boxall last year. Even Len Silver didn't know that rule... Or have I been April fooled?
-
There is a dedicated Rye v Peterborough thread Rockets!
-
Not heard that particular rumour, but I wouldn't be surprised considering the date is April 1st!!
-
I'd love to be more enthusiastic about the Raiders and the third tier of speedway in general, but it's not happening for me... I'm sure the young (and not so young) lads would appreciate the support and if This was the only speedway on offer at Rye House I'd be there for every meeting, but for a variety of reasons I'll not be going to many if any NL only meetings at Rye House.
-
That'd mean Hawkins and Bowen at 3 & 4
-
The track used to get very dusty in the summer months during afternoon meetings, but since the new shale and the additive they have in the water the dust is virtually non existant.... Try telling that to some people with an agenda... you may as well not bother!

Probably never!

Nz Grandprix Live On Sky ?
Shadders replied to BomberHammer's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm usually up for work at 4.15am, so won't be a problem getting up so early... Will be a problem having to leave the GP at 5.45 to be at work for 6 though -
Don't understand the reasoning behind his decision. Perhaps he wants to test the injury in a meaningless match, but surely a few practice laps full pelt would be a more sensible option, besides, it ain't meaningless to the people who've spent £16 to watch!
-
Heard about this last night from a reliable source... Very pleased with the signing of Chas... Great move by Len who deserves credit for digging deep when it looked like our season was down the toilet before it had even started! What I want to know is who we are gonna have as guest when we go to Berwick?
-
My money, my choice, my right to post whatever I desire as long as it doesn't insult or offend... How many Raiders meetings are you pitching up to?

Rockets injury woes continue http://www.ryehouse.co/post/2012/03/19/Rockets%E2%80%99-Injury-Woes-Continue.aspx

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, only that they were struggling ... You could be right, perhaps they were rusty... Maybe the track was a little patchy and the dampness in the air won't have helped much.
-
I'm sure Neathy is on very good money, so Gjedde wouldn't necessarily cost too much more, plus it'll p*ss the hell out of the Bandits fans, which ain't a bad thing! Makes sense with him living almost next to Foxhall Riders were definitely struggling with the track early doors, but seemed to settle down towards the end... Neathy and Risagers falls were down to the track In my opinion, but the Taylor Poole incident was just a typical first bend incident you see every week, only this time Taylor Poole was very unlucky!
-
I've never stopped eating them throughout the period of the weight loss... Only now it's chicken shish and not doner!!
-
Lanham has to be signed for the season now... may not be the most exciting to watch, but is steady and can gate, rather like the chap he is hopefully replacing! Looks like a night in with a take away kebab tomorrow if the weather forecast is anything to go by!
-
That's a hell of a weak side in my opinion... I hope it doesn't effect the gates too much. Lowering the admission to a tenner was a good move though... Fair play to Len for giving youngsters a chance to try their luck and progress, but I'm not sure this is the way to go though. Perhaps a few years ago when the CL was set up as a training league, but these days the NL seems to a step or two above that... Wish the guys all the best. It'll be interesting to see how they progress

Unfortunately a prior engagement means I'm missing my first p & p for years,,, enjoy everyone, see you at Ipswich next Thursday
