  1. Love him or hate him it's good to have Fisher back in the PL
  2. Carrot cruncher humour... marvellous!
  3. Could be that they won't be paired together, with Luke possibly being at 2 and Ritchie at 3 or 4, although one of them will probably drop to reserve in the first GS
  4. Are you a regular at Rye House?... If so, I may as well come over and take your money while I'm taking Bolly's... I'll even give you 100/1 that Ritchie wins at least one race this year!... How about it?
  5. I think the bookies are being very stingy... I'd add another zero onto those odds! Saying that, if there is only one side with longer odds I presume that means they expect us to finish second bottom which is clearly nonsense!
  6. I think he was a reserve at Cardiff in 2008, but didn't get a ride.... I'm now not sure Linus was a Rocket when he rode in a GP
  7. Wasn't Linus a reserve in a GP while he was with us?
  8. Time off or not I'm going... About time I threw a sickie!
  9. Good shout, but we're at the mercy of the Moanarchs promotion who sort out all of the PL fixtures... The Rockets Northern tours seem to be taking place earlier and earlier in the season, so don't be surprised if we're travelling up there in late April when there will still be snow on the ground!
  10. Yep! Three Saturdays without a home meeting during the height of the summer. The first home meeting after the games will be Monday 13th August!
  11. The initial agreement was for Jason Doyle to race until Steve Boxall was fit, but was then told that a team place was his until the end of the season. Two weeks later he was released... In hindsight it was a terrible decision and that, coupled with his comments to the crowd when barracked, cost him a third of his attendances for the rest of the season. Whether they will return this year we'll have to wait and see!
  12. Good news about the double header admission prices, but still no family ticket, which is disappointing... £32 for four of us to get into Newport today, fantastic value for money!
  13. Still have around 11 weeks until the start of the season... What's the panic?
  14. Are you two on drugs?.... We'd have to lose a few home meetings to finish anywhere near the bottom. We won't lose any! Spinny, I'll wager that we'll finish higher than you in the PL!
  15. Easily found on speedway Updates ... http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rockets2011&action=display&thread=9620
  16. I'm not interested in seeing 4 untried riders struggling around or sitting through a 4 hour meeting as is the norm with Rye House double headers!
  17. Who's gonna take a chance on him after he's let down so many sides?
  18. £14 is a decent price for Premier League racing... Somerset also charge a quid to park your car, at Rye House it's free.
  19. One thing that may help to get back some of the stay away fans is a family ticket.... I was paying £42 for the four of us last year, compared to around £30 at Leicester and Newport... Even Lakeside were only charging £36 for 2 adults and 2 children this year!
  20. I'm not overly excited with this line up, but certainly better than I expected... Disappointing not to see the young Swede Pontius Aspgren, but if he was asking for silly money as reported then Len was quite right to look elsewhere... Definite improvements from Jason Bunyan and Nelson and I'll be looking for Jordan Frampton to put at least half a point on his average... Looking forward to see how Jason Garrity progresses.. Not a league winning side by any means, but a in with a decent shout of a top 6 finish... I'll certainly be there for the first few fixtures to see how the side progresses, but will think very hard about my attendance should admission prices rise
