  1. I think you can count Kevin Doolan out as a 2013 Rocket. I hear he loves the set up and the track, but doesn't fancy the travelling from his Sheffield base.
  2. Interesting photo Ricky posted on Twitter, unless he's a monumental wind up merchant. I don't think he's going to be our saviour though, he's too hit and miss. His performance for us at Berwick was disappointing to say the least. As a middle order signing I'd say yes please, but as a number one definitely not!!
  3. You can add Jason Bunyan to the 2013 team line up judging by this: http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/Sport/Speedway/Busy-end-to-season-for-Rockets-and-skipper-Bunyan-15102012.htm
  4. I wasn't aware Len had bought his contract. That changes things somewhat. Why would he spend money to own his registration, them loan him out? Ken Burnett said there was news about Bunyan on the Mercury website. Don't be surprised if next years line up is done and dusted by the end of October.
  5. Leicester fans acting like morons, there's a surprise. I had the misfortune to have a run in with a couple of them at Beamont Park recently when they cheered Jason Garrity taking a tumble. I really hope they do pi*s off to the Elite League next year, so us supporters of PL clubs won't have to put up with their tiresome behaviour. It's a real shame, because the people that run the place are such a friendly bunch, but some of their support let the club down badly.
  6. I don't understand why Craig Cook is getting so much grief... Ok, he may have been lucky that the original staging was rained off while he was injured, but he was the top points scorer in the heats today, so in my mind deserved to be crowned as champion... Sam Masters was nowhere near being the best rider in the PL last year, but I don't remember many people saying he was underserving of the 2011 PLRC title. Craig Cook may not be one of the most exciting to watch and today he did what he had to do, made gates, and in the races where he didn't was right on the tail of the eventual race winner from what I've read on updates... You don't attain that average by being lucky, so hats off to him. Special mention to Anders Mellgren who defied the odds with a battling second place and to Craigs mechanic Mark Best wishes to Josh Auty and Jason Doyle who I read sustained injuries. Unfortunately I had to give today a miss, but pleased that those who did go got to see a full meeting, even if the track surface was disappointing.
  7. I'm not keen on using rr for Luke, unless he's due back around April time. I'm wavering over Bunyan. He's very hit and miss. The Rye track doesn't suit him. I'm not even sure if he's gonna ride over here next year
  8. Can you declare a side with r/r at the start of the season? Kling at 1? Garrity at 5? What were you drinking in the pub last night?
  9. Not convinced Kling is the genuine PL number 1 we need, but as part of a "strength in depth" side would be something different. I was very disappointed with his performance at Berwick. It may have been the first time he'd seen the place, but he looked out of his depth We could be barking up the wrong tree entirely, but it's fun to speculate!
  10. I hope you took the opportunity to ask Anders what his plans are for 2013 😉 Any reason why Ricky Kling should've been at Rye House yesterday? His latest Tweet may be a clue
  11. We purposely left it late to arrive as I had a hunch the weather would intervene. It Must have been quite a downpour as the surrounding roads and car park were very very wet... We were under a huge black cloud that looked like it was gonna burst at any time all the way up the A10 from the M25. There was no way that meeting was going ahead. If we don't get favourable conditions I can see this season being a wash out and the competition abandoned. I doubt many will mourn it's passing.
  12. Driving up the A10 it was pretty obvious the meeting wouldn't go ahead. Confirmed when we arrived to see vehicles pouring out of the car park under the sort of skies you see on Storm Chasers!
  13. Berwick host Redcar on Saturday and have yet to visit Glasgow. I imagine that could take take place on Sunday 21st. Ludwig Lindgren guests in place of Chas Gjedde
  14. He must have some of the money left that he took off your lot for Linus
  15. The usual mix of current Rye House riders plus a few of uninspiring add ons in a ridiculous12 man, 16 heat formula.
  16. That didn't prevent Luke winning the vote most years.
  17. Shut up you fool. Jason Garrity will win it by a mile. Only Anders Mellgren can come anywhere near.
  18. No sense of humour, or not the same as yours? There is a difference.
  19. Armadale is closer to Glasgow than Edinburgh. They'd practically be able to see the Ashford floodlights!
  20. Taylor Poole was on Twitter bemoaning the fact that he had to race rather than watch the GP
