Do you think Silver will leave a place open for Simon?
-
I was told that the pits are fully open before the meeting for fans to wander around. Also the supporters are encouraged to mingle with the riders in the long bar after the meeting. This is an encouraging development, which shows that Silver does listen to the regular paying customers that have been banging on at how fan unfriendly Rye House had become. I'm still not convinced that this line up are contenders for silverware, opportunity missed during the winter, likely to be due to financial constraints, so I can see Chris's side of the argument as well as yours. I'm definitely not in Silvers little team or one of his mates either!!!

With Ben Morley at reserve? Maths was never my strong point!

Looked decent in the couple of rides I saw him in. Could be a trump card at reserve for the Kings
-
I was discussing this with Bolly last night. I'm not sure, but by my reckoning he comes in at around 7.10, converted from his 4.44 EL average. If we redeclared without Bunyan and Lambert it would leave us with under 3 points for the final rider, so it's a no go if my maths is right. http://www.speedwaygb.co/issues13/pl13_dec_1.pdf

Could be something as simple as that. People putting 2 and 2 together and all that. Mear has reportedly fallen out with the Rye promotion since he left, so why should they be doing him any favours? Another spanner in the works would be his full time job, which he may or may not still have. Jason Garrity guesting at reserve for Glasgow in their LC match with Berwick today, taking a sneaky look at the track before our KOC match there. Fingers crossed he stays safe.

Robert Lambert National League Next Year?
Shadders replied to Damon's topic in National League Speedway
Latest I've heard is that he can't commit to more than half a dozen meetings in England this year due to his continental commitments. That would rule out racing in the NL. -
Fair result in the end. Both sides will be pleased to have come away with something. Nelson was in some discomfort after his heat 4 trip through the fence, which may explain his lacklustre showing for the rest of the meeting. Just bruising I heard. There is an issue with the position of the referee's box obviously as he missed a few incidents on the 4th bend with riders down and kickboards being dislodged. It's not the first time this has happened. Some of the riders were having problems with the bottom turn, same as last week. Not sure if it's the same issues as last week, or something different. I didn't hang around after the meeting to see any of the riders in the bar after the meeting to ask.

A right hammering handed out by the Rockets tonight, making a mockery of some predictions -

And of course MikeyT on the texts... Would've liked to have travelled down today, but work for me and the OT means it's updates only tonight -

That's better news.

Where what?

I was thinking perhaps an away defeat before the unfortunate injuries, now I'm certain Somerset will leave with the points, perhaps not all 4 though... Rider replacement gives Garrity and Nelson an extra ride, but then the slow starting Lykke and Morely have to divide the other two rides between them, not ideal.

Robert Lambert National League Next Year?

It's as good as done that Robert will be racing for the Kings. Expect the announcement before the weekend is though... I'll not be surprised to see Robert in a Rockets racejacket in 2014. -

If true that's shocking. Can't blame Silver for that. -
