  1. If anyone sees the ref before the start ask him/her to watch out for Grieves doing his usual rolling at the tapes.
  2. Looking at the line ups I'd be happy to take a 12 point lead to Ashfield, but I'd expect more given that there are no tactical rides in the KOC. Mechanical gremlins, falls and Glasgow being sharper from the gate could put a spanner in the works though. Hope it's entertaining with no riders hurt. No problem with the weather: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807
  3. The turning point was the injury to Kus. Dyers two reserve rides scored 6 points. Ok, I'll take it that Dyer could've possibly have replaced Kus in 13, but even so, doubtful Kus would've made much impact in heat 11. No idea as to the extent of his injuries. Would he have taken his last two rides if Redcar had 2 out of form reserves?
  4. Those kevlars are gonna look good in the upcoming Sky meeting. A home defeat in front of tens of thousands won't!
  5. Wouldn't wanna be a Bandits fan tonight... What a shocker!
  6. Now rearranged for 27th April replacing the scheduled PL match with Scunthorpe.
  7. For what it's worth, on Facebook Jason said he's hoping to start Physio next week, so could be a matter of just a couple of weeks.
  8. I recall Luke rode with a rod in his leg a few years back which I thought was pretty reckless. Thankfully he's taking doctors orders this time.
  9. I've not heard or read anything officially. I thought I heard mentioned he may need another operation on his leg, maybe to remove a pin or rod, but that may have just been gossip. If he was close to returning I'm sure something would've been announced.
  10. I've given up defending the racing at Rye House. On a brighter note, Jason Bunyan on his Facebook page reckons he could be back racing in a couple of weeks. Simon Lamberts return is anyone's guess. I'm not confident that Silver will want to sign a temporary replacement after what happened with Jason Doyle/Steve Boxall.
  11. Anyone who knows anything about speedway could see that Dyer is in a different league to Edberg, there is no comparison. Major own goal letting him go for what was rumoured to be not much more than Edberg was asking for.
  12. I doubt they'll see a better race than the final heat of tbe Ben Fund meeting. Wasn't much dirt on the track that night, but I take your point. It's not only the lack of passing, but the riders being so strung out after a couple of laps. Where's the entertainment there?
  13. How much more than Berwick did Redcar offer Dyer to join them?... Mind you, they're lovely race suits Edbergs dad paid for
  14. Good posts by WHB and Ben. I agree with most if not all that's been said.
  15. It does seem ridiculous to throw Ben in at the deep end with 4.41 to play with for a guest.
  16. Forget it!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807 I'm playing in a poker tournament in Central London this afternoon, so may miss the meeting anyway if I make it to the final stages (very unlikely) My guess is an early rain off and an early bad beat exit for me *EDIT* OFF!! http://www.ryehouser....php?extend.537
  17. Unsurprising, but disappointing result from the OTA. The story of the night was the rider replacement rides which went unbeaten for the home side, but only produced 2 for the Rockets.
  18. I'd expect Anders Mellgren to be out top man tonight, he only dropped a couple of points there last year in the PL match... I'll be surprised if we keep the points differencce below double figures.
  19. Got over it ages ago. As I told Statman last Saturday at Rye, I'm already planning to go for the PL Pairs and PL match with the Rockets. Would've come over tonight, but just couldn't be bothered with that drive on my own.
  20. I'm off tomorrow, so could make the trip. Unfortunately B4E is working today and won't allow me to attend the OTA alone after what happened last time!!
  21. I think he works as a gas fitter Certainly was a surprise result last night, especially as we ran Ipswich so close when we were there.
  22. I couldn't give a toss pal, he ain't racing for my team. Just makes it easier for us when we come up in June and take the points away.
  23. At the risk of upsetting the "if you think you can do better try riding a speedway bike yourself" brigade, how on earth does this guy keep on getting a team place when there are young British lads who can do as good a job if not better?
