  1. That just about sums him up, but you can't really evaluate him after only seeing him race twice
  2. From 6 PL & PLC meetings (with bonus in brackets) Allen... 8.24 (8.24) Garrity 7.31 (8.11) Nelson 6.77 (7.28) Mellgren 6.74 (7.26) Lykke 4.64 (5.82) Above averages subject to me getting it completely wrong! Amazingly Olly Allen has yet to earn a bonus point! Surprised that Anders average is so low!
  3. Olly Allen withdrew after dropping a point in his two races? Dyer wasn't going so well in the heat where he fell. You can think all you like. We'll never know, but its fun to speculate
  4. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise... Two out of three ain't bad!
  5. Still waiting to hear if Tyson has obtained his visa, so we know whether this meeting will be rained off or not.
  6. Agree 100% with you... Maybe we could've got something, maybe not, but we'll never know now... It's at times like this I'm thankful we have a promoter who takes heed of the weather forecasts
  7. It has... Promoters self interest wins the day
  8. Abandoned after heat 10. I made the correct decision ... I'm off to the casino tomorrow to see if this luck holds Pretty crap way to lose the points though. I feel we could've got something out of this
  9. Someone should've told him not to complete the form in crayon
  10. It began raining when we left the restaurant in Middlesbrough after our parmo for last years Bears/Rockets fixture and It drizzled all the way through the meeting. Rain became heavier just as the racing ended. It was run at a cracking pace though. A little over an hour from memory. Looks like I may have made the wrong call today, but I honestly couldn't see myself making the start time leaving North London a little after 3pm... Redcar on hot form at the moment. Can't see anything but a good home win... Hope all riders stay safe... See you next year!
  11. Bit of a grey area. If Tyson is unable to obtain a visa to enter Ukraine he isn't technically refusing to take part in an FIM meeting is he?
  12. Not taking the risk. Don't fancy the 500 mile, 9 hour round trip, just in case
  13. And as he's based in the North his travel expenses will be a lot less. I'll see you at the restaging
  14. Won't be much dust around if you believe the weather forecast.
  15. Early signs not good... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807 Doesn't have to rain for the track to be waterlogged. Ask the Belle Vue promotion
  16. Didn't see that one coming!! Kennett is a brilliant signing and could be challenging Cook for the top PL rider. The Bandits promotion should be applauded for taking a risk, because that's what it is. Kennett won't be coming cheap. Paul Starke (another ex Rocket), didn't do too badly when with us. Question now is, what happens with the race suits and bonus point money?
  17. I was all set to do the 500 mile round trip, but then I saw this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2642607 and thought, nah!
  18. Give up my Monday overtime at work and then have a 115 mile round trip, including the notorious Dartford Crossing in the rush hour? The first heat got going at 15:15. Heat 15 ended after 17:30 from memory.
  19. Looks decent when I've seen him during second halves at Rye One of my pet hates is people posting rubbish like this. Such a lame and lazy comment. Don't get me started about dogs Gemini!! I'd love to support the youngsters and go to more NL meetings, but my experiences of 2-3 hour meetings at Rye House has put me off.
  20. 5.15pm kick off. Without extra time it'll be over by just after 7
