  1. You lose your bet... Hasn't been for a year or so now. They are using a different shale and some sort of binding agent in the water. Remarkably dust free these days, especially for evening meetings
  2. Oh dear! Hows it looking weather wise? I should think Silver is doing a rain dance now
  3. Kids are staying for the weekend and have just decided they're not keen to go, so home we stay... To be honest I didn't really fancy it anyway, not in this weather!
  4. Bike trouble no doubt The BBC weather forecast has changed a little during the afternoon. Showers, some heavy, up to the scheduled start time, then steady rain for a couple of hours. I hope sense prevails and this meeting is called off, because it's gonna be messy out there and not much of a spectacle for the paying public.
  5. On the plus side the early finish is ideal for schoolkids.
  6. All I know he was tagged on Facebook at Rye House last night. Could be mischief making by someone though... My hunch is he's still in the UK
  7. The only sensible way to decide the points if the meeting is rained off with the match score still in doubt is to share the points, 2 each. I should add to that, if one side is say 9+ points ahead they should get 2 points and the side behind 1 point.
  8. He was at Rye House last night. Perhaps he flew out this morning
  9. Thanks Bolly... Next on BBC1, Amateur Boxing, featuring Steve Boxall v Tyson Nelson. It says they're crap and their supporters know it
  10. Heavy rain from around 4pm. There is no way this meeting will be on
  11. He's not the most exciting to watch, but if he gates, he doesn't usually lose. Typical solid Rye number one in the Chris Neath mould. Every team should have a Mr Reliable. There are enough thrills and spills with Nelson, Garrity and Lyke. I don't think my old ticker could take too much more excitement.
  12. Oh, right. I can't comment, cos I haven't been, but the Redcar fans seem pretty annoyed by it. Be interesting to see how many "Rough Park" comments there are next time they visit Newcastle
  13. I shouldn't think Olly Allen has been round Redcar many times, so maybe taking a couple of races to suss out the track would be the correct call for him. Balls out riders like Garrity and Nelson just go for it!
  14. I s'pose you have a budget and you have to stick to it... Have Rye House had an outside team sponsor since Infradex?
