  1. Someone tell Sellafield there's been a radioactive leak. The locals are mutating into gibbering idiots
  2. The loss of David Mason will be felt in the pits as much as on the track. I should think his advice was invaluable for the younger members of the team.
  3. Is Marc Owen considering a return to speedway?
  4. I am indeed Mr Vega, especially now I've seen this http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2638077
  5. Reckon I'm gonna have the pis$ royally taken out of me on the 1st bend on Thursday by Shoeman, Shoeman jnr and the little tramp. Smiles all round Owlerton... I am prepared for the worst
  6. That's one of the only downsides of the year so far, apart from the injuries to Jason Bunyan and Simon Lambert. Had a budget to work with I should think. I don't believe Silver when he says he doesn't look at the averages, just picks the best seven riders!
  7. He's turned from hero to zero. Struggling to get over the fact he's not top dog anymore.
  8. Yeah, pretty good being a Rye fan at the moment. Not that we're challenging for every trophy, but seeing the likes of Tai, Linus, Eddie and now Jason blossom from kids into top riders is a pleasure in itself... Had serious doubts about Garrity when he first came. He was wild and had a pretty wild reputation. Different rider this year. Onwards and upwards.
  9. Had no trouble hearing it in the main stand on BH Monday, but we moved out to sit in the sun on the 1st bend grass where we couldn't hear it. There were speakers in the area, but not working.
  10. Whoever Sheffield have as a guest he won't score any more that Stead. I'd have expected him to be unbeaten... Weather not looking too bad. It all depends how desperate Sheffield are to get this fixture on.
  11. That's my main worry c-r. Have the PA issues been addressed? That was the main gripe on BH Moday for those who weren't in the main stand. I should think that would be the stadium owners responsibility, but someting that definitely needs seeing to.
  12. If so that's a marvellous attendance at any level.
  13. I wasn't there, so can't comment on individual performances, although was following the updates when I should've really been concentrating on the poker game I was playing in. Although it's great to see a new track opening, to go with a team as weak as this is cheating the paying public. No doubt Steve Boxall is a quality rider at this level, but he only has one bike. Poor Conner Coles is the rider I really feel sorry for. No way should he be thrust in at second string at this stage... David Mason is way past his best. Once the top rider in the third tier, he is a shadow of his former self. Miles away from the rider I once saw score a 21 point maximum at Mildenhall. Not blaming him, it's just a fact. I can see some heavy defeats away from home and one or two more at home before the season is out... Such a shame a marvellous facility should be handed one of the weakest looking sides in the NL.
  14. What a cracking performance from Jason Garrity last night at Monmore. Done himself and the Rockets proud.
  15. Just? Are you serious? He'll be a class above anything on show from the Kings, except for Steve Boxall and perhaps Ben Morley.
  16. Never thought of that, well remembered!. Tyson may not be the only rider we've signed from under their noses. I reckon they'd have been hopeful Tai Woffinden would've been a Tiger when he went PL, with the potential transfer fee they missed out on when he moved to Wolves.
  17. If he doesn't turn up fair enough, but if his visa is refused he's surely within his rights to race for his club side. I'm presuming Silver & Nelson were of the same opinion.
  18. There's a 3pm start on BH Monday 27th May vs MIldenhall and again on BH Monday 26th August vs Dudley
  19. Pretty much the same as me, but I won't be making the journey. Monday night is poker night!!
  20. All waffle, what else could he say? Stead will be a different rider round Owlerton, but any extra points he gains will be negated by Wells who surely won't match last nights score. A lot will rest on whether Hall rides or not and if the Tigers reserves can score any meaningful points.
  21. After last weeks huge crowd this will be the real test. How many will make the 6.30pm start.
