Nothing wrong with stats, but they don't always tell the whole story.

You could see he was struggling to put any weight on his right foot when entering the bends. I presume it's the right ankle he broke, or perhaps just his stiff riding style. Clearly not 100% -

Track terrible. Dry and dusty, set up nicely for the gating Devils, not for a team of mostly racers which the Rockets are these days. Wells was a great guest, but the meeting was won at reserve, 4-16. Shockers from Lambert & Lykke, Also, two riders returning from injury and another who hasn't ridden competitively at Rye for 4 years to my knowledge. Meetings like this is why I dislike afternoons at Rye when it's not wet. Special mention to Jake Anderson who surprised me with how competitive he was. Thankfully the result was irrelevant. A chance to put things right in the next home meeting, ironically against Plymouth again when it will matter, hopefully on a decent surface. One to forget for us today, but with a lesson having been learned. -
Premier League Pairs 31/05/2013

Would've been interesting to see how Allen & Mellgren would've gone around the OTA, but I'll have to wait until the Friday after the Pairs -

Schramm suffers from having poor racing equipment. I'd be interested to see how he goes on decent bikes -

The club and supporters came over brilliantly. A real credit to speedway. -
I agree. Thing is stand alone teams like Mildenhall, IOW, Kent & Dudley etc need to be strong. Unfortunately in Kents case signing Steve Boxall has meant that the tail is very long. Shouldn't impact too much on attendances as the novelty value hasn't kicked in yet and the people of Kent are happy to have a speedway back in the county. I'm not sure how long they'll put up with a losing side.

I'm a little confused here. Is the NL the genuine third level of speedway, or is it a training league?... The gulf between the top riders and those at the bottom is so huge you can almost fill in your programme as they're at the tapes in some races... Surely riders should learn the basics, ie being able to stay on the bike for 4 laps, before they're even considered for a NL place. Sorry if anyone's annoyed or upset by this. It's not a critisism, just an observation.

Can't think of any more. I suppose Simon Lambert is the name on everyone's mind, but after snatching him off Stoke it'd be terribly unfair to ditch him now. After the treatment metered out to David Mason at Kent, and the way it was done, nothing would surprise me!

David Mason... Kurt Shields

Yes, According to the Rye website. -
Second Rocket debut for temporary signing Robert Mear at an unfamiliar day and time... I'm not a fan of afternoon racing, especially at Rye House. You don't get to see the track at it's best in my opinion... Plymouth don't look to pose much of a threat, but could spring a surprise if they catch us off guard, but with Jason Bunyan back we should have enough to see the Devils off... Looking forward to a great BH weekend of speedway with the Peterborough/Coventry double header on Monday, my first visit to Brandon. Long range weather forecast looks promising with heavy rain on Friday, but nothing after that. Plenty of time for the track to settle down... Can't wait!

Your memory is fading, must be getting old. Reading v Rye was a good meeting. -
Why do you bother?
-
I'm sure they've done their homework, unlike with the Tyson Neslon debacle a couple of weeks ago!
-
Hope they've done their maths right.

Weather permitting!! I'm not sure they will go down that route anyway Ian... Linus landed in their laps as he was over here doing meetings looking to impress and was probably influenced by Stefan Ekberg. Kasper was recommended by Charlie Gjedde. I don't know if the Rye promotion has anyone looking around Scandanavia for riders, maybe Stefan?

Would this 7 point foreigner gain an average before Jason returns?
