  1. Never thought of that, well remembered!. Tyson may not be the only rider we've signed from under their noses. I reckon they'd have been hopeful Tai Woffinden would've been a Tiger when he went PL, with the potential transfer fee they missed out on when he moved to Wolves.
  2. If he doesn't turn up fair enough, but if his visa is refused he's surely within his rights to race for his club side. I'm presuming Silver & Nelson were of the same opinion.
  3. There's a 3pm start on BH Monday 27th May vs MIldenhall and again on BH Monday 26th August vs Dudley
  4. Pretty much the same as me, but I won't be making the journey. Monday night is poker night!!
  5. All waffle, what else could he say? Stead will be a different rider round Owlerton, but any extra points he gains will be negated by Wells who surely won't match last nights score. A lot will rest on whether Hall rides or not and if the Tigers reserves can score any meaningful points.
  6. After last weeks huge crowd this will be the real test. How many will make the 6.30pm start.
  7. As far as I know there isn't a curfew at Rye House... I once attended a double header at Rye starting at 7pm that had the last heat of 30 finish close to 11pm... The last Saturday double header started at the earlier time of 6pm to avoid such a late finish
  8. I can never understand why we don't name a number 8 for home matches. More than likely to be cost. What if Olly Allen had fallen or had an engine failure in either of the three heats he was in alone? Even a point lost could be the difference between qualifying for the next round or not. There are usually a couple of Kent riders doing a few laps in the second half at Rye.
  9. This is the same clown who changed the PL reserve rules mid season in 2006 when MIildenhall and Rye House (Jon Armstrong & Steve Boxall) were benefitting from the rule and Sheffield weren't... The whole BSPA smacks of self interest... Bunch of self serving pea brained idiots (Trying not to swear)
  10. Now I know why MIldenhall went out of business after the 2007 season
  11. From memory, Stoke is a tough track to race on at the best of times, especially for the near novices that are in the side at present. If it's soaked it'll be next to impossible for them... Good luck!
  12. The FIM action seems a little bit knee jerk on the surface, but I suspect they were monitoring the situation in the Ukraine and informed the BSPA as soon as it was clear Tyson was still in the UK. Either Silver was trying to pull a fast one and was found out, or the BSPA have got it spectacularly wrong. To add insult to injury, Rye House have been hit with a fine for fielding an understrength team, even though they won on the night, something Glasgow escaped on their recent visit to Hoddesdon.
  13. Nice to see the feel good factor return to Berwick. Someone posted a photo of the first bend pre meeting on Facebook and I hardly recognised the track. Reminded me of the surface when I first visited in 2005... If something similar is served up for the Sky meeting, then you're gonna have praise heaped on you by all, especially with the likes of Robbo, Henry, Lindgren and the Worrals, who I would expect would relish the track conditions.. It's building up to be a great night... Looking forward to it already
  14. Wasn't me mate, I didn't go. To say I'm pissed off to miss is an understatement. I'm sure this was a free Saturday when I booked my kids train tickets to come and visit. They didn't wanna go last night, so I was stuck indoors. I'll have to get my speedway fix at Sheffield on Thursday.
  15. Still not expecting to go through, but I'm very tempted to travel up. Looking at the forecast before I leave though.
  16. Hope to travel up Spinny. Sarah is working, so I'll be on my own. Not coming up expecting us to go through, that would be a bonus. Looking forward to the banter with you guys on the 1st bend. Depends what time I can get away from work and if my boss makes a scene when I tell him I can't do my regular Thursday afternoon overtime again!! Hope that Cozzie unchains Wayne, so he can join us.
  17. Much depends on who Rye have at number 7. Reckon we'll give the Tigers a run for their money. I'd expect Garrity and Mellgren to do well and if Allen gates he'll be difficult to pass. Won't be much in it. Could go to a last heat decider.
  18. If I'd been on my own I'd have definitely gone, but my kids come first... Looks like I'll have to consider travelling up to Sheffield on Thursday
  19. Take your own. Large flask of coffee, food and drinks in my bag every time I go. I don't spend a penny more after I've entered the stadium, apart from a nice warm coat at the start of the season. When it's warmer I'll be bringing my own beer too. Not being mean. I think you know the reason why!
  20. Promoters should promote... managers should manage... Isn't that how it's s'posed to work?
