I've been there for the good days as well as the bad, so I've had experience of both. Been there when we've lost by 30+ points at home as well as witnessing some heavy defeats away. All forgotten the next day and looking forward to the next meeting. Pleased to see Nelson back in the points and looking competetive again. Couple of blips when he looked like he expected the ref to call them back in heat 5 and looked like he laid it down in heat 13 when Auty locked up, but he was well adrift of the leaders by then anyway. Not the heavy defeat I was expecting, or the forecast rain, but pretty hard to take that defeat nonetheless. Rider replacement scoring 4, when Garrity would've scored many more, and another Lambert horror show done us in tonight, pulling some weird shapes to keep us amused. An off night for Jason B compounded the misery. A full strength Rockets side would've taken 3 points, no problem. Hard to fault the choice of guest. Auty at least tried, but gating again cost us dearly. The Diamonds, even taking away the rolling starts, were too sharp away from the tapes too often. Another sparse crowd as well to add to the misery. Silvers programme notes added to the general malaise around the place with reports that Olly Allen will be out for another 6 or 7 weeks and Jason G's leg break not healing as well as expected. Another 2 weeks at least until we see him back. At least Kasper showed some improvement, but still pi$$ poor from the gate.
