It does seem that way. Perhaps they thought they were signing the other Lambert?

A little unfair on Konopka, who I think hasn't appeared at reserve yet.

I can't believe he lasted this long at Rye. He was getting worse week by week and his confidence was shot to pieces by the end. It's been said he approached Len Silver during the Sheffield home meeting last week and offered to stand down. His non appearance on the victory parade said a lot. Silver has a recent history of tremendous loyalty towards his riders, sometimes to the detriment of the team

Good to see Simon get fixed up with another side. Never looked comfortable on the tight Rye circuit, or anywhere else I've seen him if I'm honest, bar Peterborough in the first meeting of the season 1.25 by my calculations

Decent meeting despite the dusty track. A few nice passes, unusual for afternoon meetings at Rye House. Stefan was desperately unlucky. May be a broken scaphoid which would rule him out for weeks. Hope that isn't the case. I thought the officials had a poor day today. The ref was very inconsistent with the starts. Letting the riders get away with far too much rolling. Plymouth were the main culprits with Simota and Jensen getting away with starting 2 or 3 feet behind the tapes and rolling just before they rose. Jason B & Newman caught jumping the start, but not as blatant as the other two. Barker allowed out on the track when paramedics were still tending to Stefan in the pits should've been prevented by closing the pits gate. Agree with WHB, Plymouth were unlucky to leave without a point. Good to see Jason G in the points again. Rider replacement helped us, bagging 8 points, which I don't think Seb would've managed. Sad to see Adam Roynon is still injury prone. I feared the worst when Katajisto ran into him while he was on the deck after that fall. Thankfully he was up soon after. Meeting did drag on, but as it was a nice sunny day it didn't feel too bad. -

Bright and sunny here with a gentle breeze. If it was in doubt it'd be off by now. No further rain forecast today -

Just been down to the stadium. Lots of standing water in the car park, more lakes than puddles. Had a peek over the fence. Track looks wet, but will have plenty of time to dry out in the breeze. Currently clear blue sky and the forecast is for more of the same. -
Can't think of many other clubs who. haven't gone cap in hand to supporters to pay for the air fence

Raining heavily in Hoddesdon now with some very dark clouds up there. I fear for tomorrow's meeting if this continues

It's been very wet in Hoddesdon overnight and this morning, with more rain forecast this evening. The tracks gonna be like mush. Tomorrow looks promising though. Hopefully the track would've dried out by the afternoon. Not seen a lot of Stefan, but to me he has stacks of improvement in him. Look forward to seeing him progress -

We've decided not to travel up from Hoddesdon. B4E is terrified that it'll go ahead and she'll miss it. To be honest if it was my team I'd feel the same way, but looking at the forecast it looks very doubtful that it'll go ahead. I've filled the tank and told her I'm willing to travel, but she has to drive and pay for the petrol if it's another wasted journey. Can't be fairer than that can I? If by any chance the meeting is run it's gonna be hell here tonight. -

It'll be totally different this time. Katajisto isn't at reserve and Simota found some form from somewhere that day. We had a poor guest for Garrity in Manzares and Stevie Boxall was still suffering after his fall at Peterborough, blanking in his last three races. It'll be l totally different this time. I'll be surprised if we don't win by 10 points or more. -
Tough choice
-
Well, people were asking for a Dane, and we got one, albeit half Danish Stefan impressed in the British SF at Rye a couple of weeks back. Good signing, but should've been considered during the winter
-
If he pays his own air fares
-
He still works for the family business. Doubt he'd wanna ride in 3 leagues
-
I don't know of any Rye fan that believes that Simon Lambert shouldn't be released from his duties, not one. It's been weeks since he put in a half decent performance. Surely we'd have seen a change by now. With Garrity at reserve, and getting back to his best, it's giving the team a much needed points boost, but when he swops places with Luke Bowen (I presume) after next months GS are released we'll be back to square one. Having a rider that's scores next to nothing home & away is unacceptable. If it was a youngster in his first PL season you could accept it if you could see a week on week improvement, but Simon has been around for years and is going backwards.

When I saw the title of this thread I assumed it concerned the terrible beatings most teams receive when they visit the OTA

With the GP and two massive football matches on this could be one of the lowest attendances at Rye for a while. -

You turned up at Stevenage week in week out. Remind me where they finished?
