  1. Rockets threw that away in the second half of the meeting. The half hour delay for fence repairs and the 20 minute track grade between heats 10 & 11 didn't help. There's no getting over it, rider replacement at 5 and using a reserve in heat 13 plus a poor choice of guest have ultimately cost us Patched up? Skidmore & Kurtz improved your side. 29 points from guests & RR is far more than Bjerre, Dryml & Hall would've scored
  2. Rockets appear to have thrown the meeting away. Why persist with RR at 5 and put a reserve in heat 13?
  3. PETERBOROUGH Hugh Skidmore (guest), Adam Roynon, RR (Ales Dryml), Todd Kurtz (guest), Ulrich Ostergaard, Max Dilger, Nikki Barrett ROCKETS Edward Kennett, Josh Bates (guest), Steve Boxall, Jason Garrity, RR (Anders Mellgren), Oliver Greenwood, Luke Bowen Bjerre called to say he was "unwell"
  4. Can't see him in the pits, but I can see Josh BatesLooks like Skidmore replacing Bjerre
  5. I didn't hear it all, because I was in the pits, but he said he'd like to return next year.
  6. So the curtain comes down on a dismal season, but at least we signed off with a convincing win. Scunthorpe were generally rubbish, can't believe it's the same side I saw hammer Berwick on Tuesday. Babs had a poor night in the refs box, making a hash of heat 14 when Auty clearly impeded Olly twice on the run to the first bend. The first time she called them back, but the second time she let it go even though they looked identical. No rider of the season presentation in the bar afterwards for the first time that I can remember. A quick two minutes on the track at the end was deemed sufficient. Disappointing, but we were on our way to the Rye Pub by then anyway, where the atmosphere is better and the bar better stocked It's not all bad news though. Silver was pleased to announce we may be hosting the MDL final.... Whoop-de-doo
  7. Get on with the league in April and have the LC at the end of the season
  8. The fish is crap Steven, don't bother. Chips are ok though. See ya later
  9. Problem with the current promoter is that he likes to be hands on. Doubt he'd hand over control to anyone else. Whoever took over the day to day running of the club would have him looking over their shoulder 24/7. Who'd put up with that?
  10. 7.5% proof farmhouse cider is strong enough for me thanks
  11. Would be nice to finish the home league campaign with a win, but I saw Scunny last Tuesday and they look tasty. I'm gonna numb the pain with some farmhouse cider with a few friends and have a start line party.... Sod it!! If anything I can celebrate my first 100% league attendance at Rye House since I started following them in 1985
  12. Not surprised to read this. Who'd wanna put their neck on the line and then be told the cheques in the post?
  13. I was under the impression that today was the cut off date?Scunthorpe have a couple of off race nights don't they?
  14. I'll take that from Simon Lambert at Peterborough on Sunday
  15. Edinburgh will pick up the six points tonight that will put them top. I suspect their first pick will be Workington, leaving Somerset to choose Berwick. Edinburgh will then pick Scunthorpe, leaving you with Ipswich.
  16. Decent point for Berwick, but should've been more had Vissing performed as a number one should.
  17. English isn't a nationality according to the last census form. I certainly don't count myself as English
  18. Jesus was born in a stable, but he never ran in the Derby. It's where your blood is from, not where you were born. I was born in Bethnal Green, East London, within the sound of Bow Bells, proper Cockney, but I don't class myself as English as I have Greek blood from both parents When it was worth having. Top league speedway is a joke now
