  1. You obviously haven't read the post properly. I did say that if I was introducing new people to speedway who'd only watched the worlds best on TV they'd be disappointed by what's on offer. Of course, likes of your good self and other hardened speedway nuts would probably enjoy watching speedway at any level. Personally, if my team was in the third tier I'd likely feel the same way as you.
  2. I've been told Silver wants more meetings at Rye House next year, so I should imagine that means PL & NL. Not just enough riders, enough riders good enough to do 4 laps without falling off
  3. I'm afraid so. That'll teach me not to drink cider before updating
  4. Bandits4eva filled out the programme June. She tells me she NEVER makes mistakes. I tweeted Lemo & Wilko the other way round. I'm ALWAYS making mistakes!
  5. Kennett, Summers, Knopka, BowenThat's what RyeHouseUpdates tweeted and what I had in my programme, same as updates site. Are there any doubts?
  6. If I was introducing anyone to speedway the last place I'd take em is to a NL meeting. The skill level is close to zero and often a rider will fall when passed, with no contact. If you've watched the worlds best in the GP's on TV, going to a third tier meeting would be a bit of a culture shock I should think
  7. If the tracks anything like last Mondays for the Sky meeting it'll be tricky, but not dangerous. Most riders at this level do not possess sufficient skill to race on it.
  8. Hopefully Tyson gets his visa sorted early before the team is announced.
  9. It was only a few that were kicking off and one nutter in particular. I've no agenda with Cradley, so have no axe to grind
  10. There you have it. How much evidence do you need that some Cradley fans are scum.
  11. I was by the startline where there were about a dozen of em. Apart from cheering when James Sarjeant fell they were pretty quiet. Then it all kicked off in heat 20 when Max Clegg & Danny Halsey had a battle for first place. Nothing as bad as I've read from other meetings.
  12. I agree. It was an awful speedway meeting on a dry and dusty track. Either have it in the evening, or move it to another track
  13. They were fine until heat 20, then they went nuts!! Very funny watching them kick off. I really hope they move up a league next year.
  14. First impressions are a lower crowd than expected, but there's still 45 minutes until the start time, so plenty of time to fill out. You forgot to add, "if you think you can do better"... etc. Rather watch top class sportsmen, or a bunch of kids trying to negotiate a tricky speedway track? I'd have rather watched the golf, but the other half wanted to come, so here we are
  15. The idea of having a league is to win it. Much as I dislike some of the more rowdy element. If Cradley have the best riders within the rules what ya gonna do?7
  16. Should've quit when sacked as captain, served his 28 day ban and still had a couple of months of speedway at the end of the season
  17. The tight Rye track will catch a few of the less experienced riders out on Sunday. Could be in for a long afternoon. For my money it's Steve Worralls to lose. Can't see anyone else getting close
  18. Somerset could easily host the PLRC, but they already have the PL pairs and it's a hell of a journey for those travelling from oop North. A central location like Sheffield is ideal until the mythical new Belle Vue Stadium is completed
  19. Hard labour? Have you seen the size of him?
  20. I don't take much notice of EL scores as it's such a low grade product these days
  21. As far as I know slavery has been abolished. Surely a rider can choose who he races for?
