  1. At the end of the day it's the individual's choice whether to travel or not. I can't help thinking that if they had a full strength team in form and it was a meaningful match to them they'd be here in their droves
  2. I live 2 minutes drive from the track. Takes me 75 minutes to drive to EOES (within speed limits)
  3. Looks unlikely early on in the meeting
  4. What if your club don't offer season tickets? What if they do and you can't afford, or don't wish to shell out £250+?There have been double headers at Rye House for years and people moaning about them for years. I remember fans of an NL side being allowed in after the first meeting at a reduced rate once
  5. I wish mate!! Problems of having a partner that supports a different team to me. Have to go everywhere TWICE!!
  6. Attended the Peterborough v Berwick/Plymouth PL double header last August with the other half who's a Bandits fan. I believe we paid £22 each. Can any Panthers fan direct me to where I can claim a refund as we left after the Berwick half of the meeting. Thanks
  7. Since 1970. Yes, I was there at Wembley in 1978
  8. Don't forget Warren Scott didn't take over the stadium until around November (maybe later) and poor weather hadn't helped with the ongoing stadium redevelopment. Add to that a problem with the back straight seating which means a delay in it's installation. I'm sure the vast majority of Rye House supporters would rather see the team sorted first.
  9. Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Santi Carzorla
  10. Very harsh, considering the state of the track after the previous days truck/stunt show and the overnight rain. Your comment on the Raiders reserves is unbelievable. The only thing I agree with you on is the race card. Should've been given away. Apart from that most of your comments are idiotic.
  11. Some of the comments are pretty harsh. Ok, it took a while to get going with the first two heats taking around 40 minutes to complete, but after the riders had sorted themselves out there was some entertaining racing. What most fail to realise is that this meeting almost didn't go ahead. The previous days truck/stunt show added to the overnight rain had left the track in a terrible state. It was decided at 10.30 that they'd work on the track to get it in a condition to race. The track was patchy, never good for riders with little or no racing experience. They did a great job in the circumstances. Crowd was pretty decent, swelled by a good few Mildenhall fans. Must've been 250-300 at least. Considering the weather and the fact there's a double header on Monday, that's good. Rob Branford was by far the classiest rider on show and was harshly denied a five ride maximum by a terrible decision from ref Mick Bates (ex Fen Tiger) in heat 15 where he steamed under Danny Halsey and was adjudged to have taken him down. I didn't believe there was contact. Impressed with the two Luke's, Chessell and Priest and Kyle Hughes who didn't appear for his fourth ride, presumably due to bike problems. Too early to judge the Raiders reserves. George Hunter, the Raiders number 8, was thrown in at the deep end due to a licence problem for Alfie Bowtell. They were always gonna struggle in their first competitive meeting. Sam Woods looked like he'd never been on a bike in heat 1, but he got quicker with each outing. The NL points limit means that a three pointer has to ride in the main body of the team, never ideal. For Mildenhall, Danny Halsey took a while to get going, I thought he'd clean up. Connor Mountain looks a decent prospect. Liam Rumsey had a nasty fall. Hope he's ok. Interesting to see how these lads do on Monday on a slick track after the PL meeting.
  12. Doesn't matter which way you look at it, that was a spectacular collapse. It's difficult to judge early season form, riders are still struggling with set ups etc. Get through April and then judge them. It's way too soon to say how the seasons gonna pan out
  13. Lawson will score more points than Allen would've. He could be the difference
  14. In the past Rye House have sometimes offered reduced admission for the second half. Can't see them allowing it for the entire meeting
  15. For those unable to make the meeting there are Twitter updates at @MildenhallFT Thanks to Adz for providing updates
  16. I reckon the new promoter may have something to say about that!
  17. Can't see anyone beating Somerset at the OTA. Plymouth haven't really got going yet.
  18. Any home win would do me, even by a point. It's Somerset & Ipswich who will be our challengers in this group. Can't see you making it after a couple of home defeats.
  19. Can't blame the Peterborough fans for not wanting to pay for something they've no interest in. Will be a lot closer than the thrashing we handed out at the EOS, especially without Kasper at reserve.
