I'm not sure. He may be team manager under the joint promotion of Len & Warren.I've been told it takes two years to obtain a licence -

Do not despair Bandits fans. It'll all be alright next week when the hapless Rockets turn up and hand you the meeting on a plate. Won't help that they'll be shell shocked from the previous evenings ritual slaughter at Edinburgh. It'll be help yourselves next week with only Kennett & Jakobsen putting up any resistance. Expect a score in the mid 50's Are you on drugs? Have the race suits been paid for yet? -

You are spot on with King Cinder, well remembered!!The win wasn't a surprise, but to be honest you didn't have much opposition. The Rockets team at the start of the year would've won comfortably. Pleased to say that's not the usual announcer, Craig Saul must be on holiday Because he's stubborn and thinks he knows best and he prepared the Wembley track for a couple of World Finals 40 years ago, so we shouldn't question his judgment. The track had been worked on for most of the week by others, but along comes Len Silver on Saturday and messes it up. I'm not sure what he's trying to achieve. Surely you should ask your riders how they want it set up? I can assure you that it's not like that!! Unfortunately the new owners don't have the necessary promoters licence, so we're stuck with him. I'm led to believe Rob Godfrey may be looking for another track to promote next year. Now that man knows how to prepare a race track and if things don't go to plan he can entertain us with one of his famous sit ins. Gotta feel sorry for Rye House owner Warren Scott. Been royally sold down the river. Ok, we've had some injuries and bad luck. Kasper is a great loss and by the time he returns the season is over. It's all but over now, with only the formality of the second leg of the KOC at Berwick next week for our annual beating. With over six points to use following Steve Boxalls injury we signed someone on a 5 point average who couldn't cut the mustard last time he rode in the UK and looks like he never will. Worse than that, it means that Robin moves from reserve where he was piling up the points and now we have a rusty and clearly out of sorts Luke Bowen paired with him. Genius!! I'm puzzled as to that exclusion of Adam Roynon in heat 2. He clearly impeded the Rockets duo when he locked up, but I've seen that at almost every National League meeting with no action taken -
Take over what, the Rockets? He'll need a promoters licence won't he?

Another shocker at the runway. Track a pile of crap again. Riders complaining about it in the bar after the meeting. Shame, good crowd turned up to see that -

Instant Twitter updates on @ryehouseupdates for those who can't make it, or a couple of minutes after the heats on Speedway Updates Currently bright with sunny intervals. No rain expected -
And Redcar

Hope this brings a few of the stay away fans back through the gate for the next meeting and help the promotion keep speedway alive in Berwick. You don't know what you have until it's gone
-
More to it than that
-
That's a normal day in our house
-
Me? Apart from ingesting too much farmhouse cider yesterday I'm as good as gold.
-
Is this the same Kevin Doolan who many Bandits fans wanted out of the club a year ago?How times change eh?
-
And to top it off he's a good down to earth kid.
-
I've had better days, but as I was hammered it softened the blow quite a bit. Still doesn't beat the day we "stole" the league title off you at Exeter in 2005, now THAT was a good day

Like Dave, I prefer the NL this year

No home meeting for 6 weeks... One riders back from a 2 month injury lay off... Another back after 3 months out... A rider making his home debut... What did everyone expect? No excuses, that was $hit. Beaten by a decent team I can just about take, but by that dross? When Edberg & Hall are winning heats you know you have problems.

Currently raining steadily here and dark overhead. Ten minutes later it's bright and sunny. Welcome to the British summer
-
Cloud high with sunny intervals, but no sign of rain. If we do have any it'll probably be a light sprinkling
-
Currently cloudy half a mile from the track, but no rain this morning. Clouds are quite high. 40% chance of light rain this afternoon according to Met Office. *edit* forecast has now changed to cloudy all day, 20% chance of rain. 67f at 5pm Yes. You can follow on twitter @ryehouseupdates or via http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14723/rye-house-berwick-plkoc-5pm I'm sure Bandits Twitter are also covering it

Berwick are a strange team. Depending on guests they can give anyone a hard time. Luke Bowen will be race rusty after a few months out and Danny Maassen will be a bag of nerves on his home debut. Expect decent performances from THJ, Doolan & Tungate. I reckon we'll need a 12-14 point lead at least to up to Berwick Light rain forecast for the afternoon, clearing by start time
-
On that average. Any better suggestions?

Thanks for the history lesson.
