  1. Lamberts not an idiot. He'll be virtually guaranteed double figure scores every home meeting at Rye, that's a decent wedge. Still can't see us fitting Edward, Nicolaj and Robert in the same side.
  2. It's good to see that Eastbourne have finally found a level that they can successfully compete in
  3. Any slim hopes the Raiders had in the National Trophy final has now disappeared
  4. No complaints from me. Any team could've made him an offer.
  5. Probably not Nikokaj Jakobsen has confirmed that his coccyx is not broken, so that's the Leigh Lanham to Rye House story over
  6. Someone mentioned he may be cup tied
  7. From what I understand Andrew Silver has been told he's not allowed to enter the stadium when there's no meeting, so no Sunday practice. I've also been told the new co promoter and his buddies were using the track to race, using four wheeled machines, not sure what type.
  8. Danyon left the stadium with his arm in a sling. Heard whispers that Chessell has been sacked, although he was seen at the Rockets meeting yesterday with Andrew Silver
  9. I believe Gustix is a Kent fan. Early season optimism amongst Rye fans seems to have turned to lethargy with injuries and riders missing meetings due to other commitments. It's saying something when the Raiders are getting talked about more than the Rockets are these days
  10. Yes, you should. I think they close at 5, but they've been selling out earlier
  11. It's Manzes mate, it's always good. Only been to Harringtons once, wasn't disappointed.
  12. Manzes opened a shop in Hoddesdon, 5 mins from my home a couple of weeks ago. Happy days!!
  13. Craig Cooks a lucky lad. He never rode the Berwick track in the mid to late 2000's when the back straight was like a roller coaster. Compared to then it's like a billiard table now. I was at the recent KOC meeting with the Rockets where the track looked terrible after a heavy shower. Don't remember any complaints from the riders, they just got on with it. Only one faller during the entire meeting, Luke Bowen AFTER the race had finished. Cooks just a wind up merchant, nothing wrong with that as long as he's not abusive. I like Razzor, but I think he made a big mistake with his response
  14. I had no idea you were party to the Rye House finances. I'm not saying Robert will be a Rocket next year, just that it's a possibility. Personally, I can't see it happening
  15. The new promotion didn't take over until late 2014/early 2015, leaving little time to do much apart from the initial groundwork. I'm told they'll be on the case once the season ends, which looks like it'll be the end of September the way things are going.
  16. That's not the point. I'm merely pointing out that you can do both. The finances are another matter
  17. Cooks a knob, many people knew that before, now it's confirmed. Some people really should stay off of social media
  18. A decent crowd for an NL meeting, boosted by a fair few Eagles fans. Yes, but I've only ever seen him race at Rye. Scary innit?
  19. Spiller made the difference, no doubt about it. Apart from that the sides were pretty evenly matched. Terrific entertainment and an outstanding ride by Rob Branford in heat 13 that was worth the admission alone! Track was dust free and the atmosphere was lively. Great value for a tenner.
  20. 2004, my first visit to Derwent Park
