  1. I may be wrong, but doesn't Steve usually do the music at Berwick? He was on the centre green that evening, covering for the absent Dick Barrie
  2. In 2007 the Rockets were sitting in 4th place (the final qualifying place) on the cut off date. They went on to win the league, beating Sheffield in the play off final. Ironically Birmingham finished in 4th place after the cut off date. Good omen for Ipswich should Plymouth not complete their fixtures in time
  3. He was pottering about in the pits at stupid o'clock this morning.
  4. Not surprised it's been called off early to save riders and fans travelling
  5. Looks grim. Track won't be fit to race on after all that
  6. I was surprised at how few Cradley fans were there yesterday. Last time there must've been at least 50 and boy were they feisty!! Don't really follow the league table, but know Birmingham & Eastbourne are the standout teams. Mildenhall, who have been up there with Cradley for the last few years, are a shadow of the side they were. Looks like Cradley may be going the same way.
  7. Someone mentioned the land belongs to Thames Water. In that case it's their job to resurface the car park. The Rye pub customers also use it. Should they stump up some cash too?
  8. Can't see any until October, unless they run as a double header with the Raiders NT final 1st leg, or switch the KOC SF meeting with Somerset as the PL has a cut off date. When is that? September home fixtures: Sat 5th (at Berwick) Sun 6th Raiders v Stoke Mon 7th Peterborough PL Sat 12th Somerset KOC Sat 19th Eastbourne NT Sun 20th Newcastle PL Sat 26th NLRC
  9. He's usually there when there's no Touring car meetings that weekend. Steve, the stadium manager is there every meeting and quite approachable. Been chatting to him myself
  10. A new look Rockets line up take on a very form Plymouth side. Forecast to rain all overnight and all morning, so this could be called off early, probably before 10am.
  11. Pretty low. Certainly lower than most NL attendances I've seen at Rye this year. Could be the weather forecast, which this time was spot on. There was a GP on TV and Spurs were live on Sky. Add to that Rockets v Plymouth on BH Monday with Robert Lambert making his official Rockets debut and it's no surprise only the die hards were in attendance. Noted that Warren Scott was there chatting to fans.
  12. Could it be some Cradley fans are tired of NL racing? How do home crowds look compared to previous years? I was at the Mildenhall v Cradley meeting a couple of months ago where there were many more wearing green & white. Perhaps the poor forecast put them off yesterday
  13. Can't understand how he's not been in the side earlier.
  14. Bit of a damp squib. Very low attendance and very few Cradley supporters there to wind up. No sign of Heathens fan Lee Mason, who threatened to punch my lights out. Perhaps he had to finish his knitting or something. The meeting was spoiled by the rain. The Raiders improved as the conditions worsened and there were fewer fallers than when the track as dry.
  15. Regardless of the fact it may be someone else's property?
  16. Doesn't look too bad on Monday. Certainly not bad enough to call it off a day early.
  17. Quite dark overhead. Looks like it may tip down soon (17:35)
  18. Losing Andrew Silver is a huge blow
  19. Don't think the car park belongs to the stadium.
  20. Are you sure? Danny's had his 4 home & 4 away to qualify for a proper average, unless the criteria has changed
