  1. Let's hope the Arlington track isn't as dusty as when Rye were last there in June
  2. http://m.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/Juniors-help-make-Rye-House-Rockets-team-Glasgow/story-27794003-detail/story.html
  3. In that case they'll be little interest. Also, Len announced a massive firework display. I'm expecting one huge firework, then the floodlights come back on
  4. That's not confirmed How are you gonna compete with NL clubs paying 17 year old reserves £50 a point?
  5. I'll have a tenner with ya. Name your own price
  6. Don't bet on it. The new promoters floated the idea to Len Silver providing he could attract a decent line up, but he wasn't s'posed to announce it yet.
  7. How many genuine world class riders are there on the Elite League?
  8. Thoroughly enjoy my visits to West Row. I'm attempting to shed a few pounds, so couldn't indulge, but the fish & chips are the best anywhere in speedway. If only the poly trays were larger. One hour and twenty minutes for a NL meeting is excellent
  9. What d'ya expect on the back of watching four defeats in three days? We'd most probably be very similar to Buxton if Len Silver hadn't pitched up
  10. The Rockets 2015 side has been plagued by injuries virtually since the start of the season. We haven't been able to put out the named 1-7 since late March. Boxall, Lykke and Mellgren have all had long term injuries at one stage or another. Luke Bowen quit and left us in the sh*t. Aspegren had time off when his partner gave birth to their first child. He's not been the same since. We even lost Edward Kennett for a few meetings with the ridiculous "deal" between Len Silver and Lakeside. Lykke, Jakobsen, Lambert & Maassen have been carrying injuries for weeks. Anders Mellgren is riding with a steel rod in his back after breaking it. The only rider who's escaped injury has been Edward Kennett. Rockets fans have had to put up with this all year and you're complaining about one poor meeting. If it wasn't for your rich benefactors you'd have weeds growing over your track and have sod all speedway to watch.... Glasgow fans can count themselves lucky.
  11. Rye House only knew about the Jakobsen & Lambert injuries during last nights meeting. John Samford would've had to phone around after the meeting finished around 10pm. I've been told he had numerous knock backs from PL riders and eight of the NL teams were racing today too, so what was he s'posed to do at such short notice?I remember the mid 2000's when full strength teams would turn up at Rye House and struggle to reach 30 points.
  12. If it means we have his German mate as well I'd rather not have either
  13. What was the point of dropping the Swedes to bring in Lambert?
  14. Are Eastbourne really paying Spiller £50 a point as well as paying his air fares to & from Germany? That's ridiculous for a kid in the NL if true
  15. Heard the same. Kent Kings in the EL, Lakeside Hammers in the NL.
  16. I was thinking more about the team. Can't imagine they'll be thrilled with the prospect. I'll be at Mildenhall cheering on the Raiders
  17. Plenty of sick notes flying about. Who'd fancy a trek up to Glasgow for a nothing meeting after the couple of days they've had?
  18. Kennett and Perry were the only ones not carrying injuries
