  1. Once Anders gets that rod out of his back and regains his confidence he'll be knocking around a 7 point average. Top bloke
  2. Don't know Barker personally, but he's box office. I'd have him at Rye like a shot
  3. Don't think the young Brummie kid is "foreign"
  4. Jorgensen a number one? Decent second string, that's all. Berwicks number one by accident rather than design this year
  5. The whole thing needs a revamp. Can't just cater for sixty-something's who wanna be reminded of the "good days"
  6. Probably not, but if he was considering a move he'd surely not say anything
  7. Kennett was pretty hacked off having to carry the team for most of the season. I Wouldn't blame him if he wanted a move, but now the new promoters are fully in charge he may want to see what their team building plans are. At the end of season meeting, after collecting his Mr Rocket award, he said he wanted to return
  8. Don't know where this Kennett to Ipswich story came from. A vivid imagination I'd say
  9. What helps is signing a rider who under performed alarmingly in 2014, then puts two points on his average the following year.
  10. Steve Boxall was Silvers favourite, he was never gonna be dropped
  11. That's pretty much how I remember it.He attempted to explain that he couldn't keep Doyle due to averages, but nobody believed a word of it. After a lot of disgruntled supporters took to social media and this forum to voice their disapproval, Silver used the local newspaper to verbally attack certain Rye House fans (me included). I still have the cutting... A PR disaster
  12. Pleased to report the proper fish was back this year
  13. Have to agree with Chris. Those who attended the Pair Of Aces meeting would've seen the healthy crowd for a nothing meeting. With an exciting winning side, the right promotion and a more up to date meeting presentation I'm sure the fans will return.
  14. Can't believe it was a spur of the moment decision, he must've planned this weeks if not months ago. Very odd
  15. It's not the fact he's gone, it's the new promotion being new to speedway that's worrying some people.
  16. Len Silver reminds me a little of Arsene Wenger. Both had early success, but not much to speak of in recent years. Both very strong minded, some may say arrogant. Both like Marmite, either love em or hate em
  17. Not sure how to feel to be honest. Len was a safe hand on the tiller, but the club was going backwards. I hope the new promoters know what they're doing
  18. News filtering through that Len Silver has ended his association with Rye House
  19. They changed their minds half way through the season in 2006
  20. That's how I understood it. Seems strange to have reserve races 2 heats apart
