Also being a Tuesday night, those with work &/or kids with school next day, probably would favour an earlier finish in these circumstances

As an impartial observer, I reckon Ipswich could win this as their reserves could be their secret weapon. Garcia apparently now mounted on decent equipment could score big time and Kemp has shown the damage he can do with his mega score at Scunny recently. Add in Mark Riss who bettered Vissing in Monarchs KO cup win @ Ashfield, plus Nicholls, etc., & the Tigs with even Cookie in their ranks, could be struggling.

Away points won minus home points lost - an update
cyclone replied to Tapeworm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Dodgy weather forecast for Armadale on Friday atm - wonder if they will try to lay the track covers beforehand, as they did last Season, I think against Ippo? As the Hammers will not now have a fixture on the Saturday, perhaps this date should also be pencilled in as a contingency date at Armadale, should Friday fall foul of the rain? -
Teams as per Official Edinburgh website:- STAGGS BAR MONARCHS: Ricky Wells, Victor Palovaara, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Erik Riss (captain), William Lawson, Joel Andersson. THOMAS ARMSTRONG COMETS: Nicolai Klindt, rider replacement for Dan Bewley, Rasmus Jensen, Mason Campton, Ty Proctor (captain), Kyle Bickley, Rene Bach. Having already won at Armadale in the Shield, the Comets will be expected to provide the Monarchs with their sternest test at home in the League. Despite losing the highly talented Dan Bewley to serious injury, r/r can reduce the impact of his loss with Proctor, Campton, Jensen, & Bach ( who can also take additional as reserve replacement if desired) covering his programmed rides. Even though Edinburgh now have strengthened up with Richie Worrall in their ranks, I reckon there will be no more than 4 pts either way between the teams.

Workington v Lakeside 25/08/2018 7:30pm Ch
cyclone replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I thought that before when the signing window had closed, clubs were permitted to replace an injured rider, subject to the following conditions:- The replacement had a GSA equal or below that of the injured rider The replacement was not already riding for another club in that particular league The replacement is already an asset of the club seeking to replace their injured rider -
I believe that when a rider is initially loaned to a club, that club are then able to subsequently re-loan the said rider to another club as a double up/down and they receive any subsequent loan fee. If I am correct, Glasgow would be dealing directly with Belle Vue, and Edinburgh would not be involved in the doubling down of their asset. I would also be surprised that Glasgow, who initiated the Cook deal, would not have been aware any fixture clashes with his GP schedule. BTW, as the result, turned out, Ben Barker netting 14 out of a possible 18, imo, was a decent guest replacement for the absent Cook.

Glasgow v Edinburgh CL Sun 26th Aug 2018 at 3pm
cyclone replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
All the weather forecasts I've looked at today for the Springburn area on Sunday, predict continuous rain from 8am through 4pm, with it being heaviest between midday through 3pm. Did Tigers ever obtain the track covers which were mentioned previously? Reason I ask, it might have been possible to reschedule for 5pm as it's forecast to be dry from thereon. -
Teams as per Official Edinburgh website:- STAGGS BAR MONARCHS: Ricky Wells, Victor Palovaara, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Erik Riss (captain), William Lawson, Joel Andersson. ALLIED VEHICLES TIGERS: Ben Barker (Guest), Nathan Greaves (if fit), Chris Harris (captain), Paul Starke, Claus Vissing, James Sarjeant, Jack Thomas. Due to Craig Cook missing for the Polish Grand Prix, Tigers have recruited the all action Ben Barker as a Guest replacement. If Nathan Greaves is unable to return for this match, then R/R will apply with Paul Starke & the Reserves able to cover his rides, though a TS is also a possibilty, should Tigers be six points behind for his scheduled 2nd & 4th programmed rides. For Monarchs this will be the third consecutive match in 3 days for Wells & Worrall, and the fourth in three days for Erik Riss, so it will be an endurance test for men & machine in their case.

Sheffield v Edinburgh 23/08/18
cyclone replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I was at Monarchs last visit to Owlerton in 2017 & apart from Wells scoring 15 from five (including a 4pt TR), Pickering failed to score from 4, and Erik Riss only managed 4 from 4. Also given your observations on Richie Worrall's previous Sheffield performances, your prediction is more realistic than the optimistic forecasts of others of a Monarchs away win on Thursday. -

Based on your teams performance on Friday & Chas Wright will return, & Howarth will score more than four, reckon it will be a comfortable home win -
Luke Becker perhaps?

Thankfully, despite the overcast weather, a decent sized crowd witnessed a really enjoyable meeting with good quality racing in most heats. Really puzzled how Tigers have been so poor at home recently, as they never allowed the Monarchs to totally dominate proceedings. Both James Shanes & Kasper Andersen were excellent and as it was their first ever visit to the Dale, disproved the bunk that this is a trick track that takes ages to master. Shanes was a joy to watch with his ability to change lines and exploit any slight gaps that those in front of him offered. When interviewed, he impressed with his replies and said he enjoyed riding the circuit. For such a tall lad, Kasper Andersen, after his first ride, really looked at home, and few riders manage to beat both Ricky Wells & Erik Riss on their first ever appearance at the Dale. Had Charles Wright & Connor Mountain been available for the Tigers and also Howarth reproduced his recent double figure scores here, then the result would have been much closer and could have gone either way. For Monarchs, Richie Worrall scored an impeccable 15 pt max and that's three home meetings in a row that he has been unbeaten by a visiting opponent, so many thanks to Glasgow for making this possible William Lawson showed some signs of his previous class performances and as his fitness and hopefully his machinery improves, Monarchs might resolve the problem area of having two effective reserves.

Harris not necessarily lying, Lawson might well have said he would have ridden, although he might not have wanted to. Agree riders are now more reluctant to ride in adverse conditions, but imo this is because today's machines are faster than before and are more difficult to control on less than perfect track surfaces.
-
I don't think such a change to revert to your own double-up riders due to the other fixture being cancelled on match day is permitted, once their replacement guest have been declared on match day. Can you provided details of the precedent you refer to?

Teams as per Official Edinburgh website:- STAGGS BAR MONARCHS: Ricky Wells, Victor Palovaara, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Erik Riss (captain), William Lawson, Joel Andersson. WINDOW CENTRE TIGERS: Mason Campton (Guest),Todd Kurtz, Kasper Andersen, Broc Nicol, Ky;e Howarth (captain), James Shanes, Joe Lawlor (guest) Apart from expected changes, Tigers newcomer, Connor Mountain is part of the GB team heading to Denmark for the World U-21 Team Cup Final, and Joe Lawlor now deputises. Hopefully we have better luck with the weather this week.

That's my reservation, as imo Father Lawson's dominance in his son's senior career, prevented Willie making a serious go of what could have been an impressive journey to a higher level. Well Clegg has previous on where his priorities lie, when for the last match at home for 2016, he left us further short handed against Glasgow, as he opted for the Wolves end of season function, instead of riding for us

Teams as per Official website:- STAGGS BAR MONARCHS: Ricky Wells, Victor Palovaara, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Erik Riss (captain), Max Clegg, Joel Andersson. KLS BANDITS: Kevin Doolan (captain), Aaron Summers, Dany Gappmaier, David Howe, Jye Etheridge, Theo Pijper, Nikolai Busk Jakobsen Expect this to be closer than the previous two home matches, with the Bandits reserves looking a potent pairing. Berwick appear to have given Glasgow a stern test at Ashfield recently and now look well nigh invincible at Shielfield Park where getting your nose in front coming off the second bend is paramount. Weather permitting, can foresee home victories on Friday & Saturday.

When redeclaring a team ,changes must be made at least 72 hours before the start Time of the Meeting at which it is intended to be used. Assume KL had notified those concerned of replacing Jason Garrity with Erik Riss, on or before Friday, and were just awaiting formal approval before making it public. -
Teams as per Official Edinburgh website:- STAGGS BAR MONARCHS: Ricky Wells, Victor Palovaara, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Erik Riss (captain), Max Clegg, Joel Andersson. HENDERSON'S SCORPIONS: Steve Worrall (captain), rider replacement for Stefan Nielsen, Jason Garrity, Jake Allen, Josh Auty, Danny Phillips, Gino Manzares This week Monarchs welcome the Management Committee's favourite team as the visitors Joking apart, it's never dull when a pair of thrill makers in Garrity & Auty, appear here. Add in the battle of the Worrall twins, and we should hopefully have another exciting encounter at the Dale tomorrow.

Agree there was some exciting racing tonight and the inclusion of Richie Worrall (resplendent in blue & yellow kevlars, btw) has certainly made us appear to be a more solid unit. Congratulations to Josh Pickering on his maiden paid maximum in the Championship, which he achieved in his spectacular all action style. OK Redcar were virtually a 3 man team in Jorgensen, Barker & Jonas B Andersen, and far tougher tests home & away, have still to be raced, before we will have an indication of whether the Monarchs will be in the mix for Play-Offs & the KO cup. Saw a couple of Redcar fans supporting their team tonight and having endured similar humiliations of ourselves under the Tom Cook era, I appreciate this is a time when dedicated fans must rally round their club to ensure its continuation.

How do you know that you "just say what most people think"? - you should make more use of your alleged power to read other people's minds Still to give an honest direct answer to the original question I asked, instead you continue to resort to more insults BTW I was giving you the benefit of the doubt by comparing you to a troglodyte, but I have to agree with you, that in your case, a lower form species living under a rock is a more appropriate description

You appear unaware that your third statement contradicts the opening line So what is the source of your assertion that "Team spirit was poor mostly down to Richie at the time" ? As it is you that is publicly stating this, please tell us all who informed you - was it directly from another rider, or a member of the Promotion, or just more unsubstantiated hearsay?
