  1. I was told that a rider's GSA calculation is limited to two decimal points and in the event of two or more riders having the same figure, the previous Green Sheet(s) Averages are then taken into account to determine the team order based on averages. If correct, Sneddon will be no. 5, and Steve Worrall no. 6 for Monarchs averages w.e.f. Sunday.
  2. I believe Theo was riding under the handicap of broken foot sustained at a long track or grass track event. Perhaps he would have been better withdrawing earlier. Agree not much of a contest, the best races being Andersen reeling in Worrall & Masters in ht 4, and Cook eventually passing Wolbert in ht 13. Can appreciate Tigs fans frustration with Wolbert, one race on the TS he looked useless, next time out he blows everyone away with a classy ride. Hope Paulco appreciated the Emmerdales "Smug what Me ! " cards waved in his direction
  3. Quite easy to mix up these backwaters of Suffolk & Sussex
  4. Weather forecast looks good for today. With Monarchs making the long trek back from darkest Sussex, and messrs Masters & Sedgemen having also travelling overnight on Wednesday from France, it is probably fortunate that our friends from the West do not appear to be formidable opposition. So long as the racing is up to the normal high standard at the Dale, the punters should be well entertained.
  5. Do they ever try to pump the water off when the track is flooded 12 hours prior, but the weather forecast is then favourable ? Previously when Armadale has been waterlogged on matchday,, Doc Bridgett & his track crew have pumped the water off in the morning, then relaid & graded the track, resulting in the meeting going ahead in the evening.
  6. This weather forecast looks promising for Thursday:- http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Ipswich/ Re the result, Monarchs winning run has to end sometime and the Witches have upped their game recently. On that basis, expect a home win, whilst hoping to be proved wrong.
  7. Good taste in films, but I see you more resembling Jack Torrance
  8. I'm sure a visit to your local shrink will confirm your envious obsession with the Mighty Monarchs
  9. Nah, just smuggly amused with the paranoid outpourings from the Possilpark punters
  10. As does your constant paranoid sniping at anything pertaining to the Mighty Monarchs
  11. King, Robson, Lindgren, & Kerr have previously racked up decent scores at the Dale, so this could be the closest contest so far this season. It's reported that Fox will get the stitches out his thigh on Friday, so he might not be ready to resume that evening, so hopefully Monarchs have a decent NL guest lined up, if required (Nathan Greaves perhaps ?).
  12. As per Official Monarchs website:- TEAMS FOR THE PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH AT ARMADALE ON FRIDAY 16th MAY (start time 7.30, doors open 6.30) are: SCOTWASTE MONARCHS: Craig Cook, Justin Sedgmen, Max Fricke, Derek Sneddon (capt.), Sam Masters, Aaron Fox, Steve Worrall. IPSWICH WITCHES: Richie Worrall, Gino Manzares, Morten Risager, Cameron Heeps, Rohan Tungate, Adam Ellis, Ritchie Hawkins. The big question is will Ritchie Hawkins actually appear at the Dale
  13. You're not alone in this poor practice. The Monarchs when using r/r/ home & away, very rarely have a number 8 in place, which imo is sloppy penny pinching. Hope Berge & Thomsen resume asap as they are the two riders who can really boost your team's performances this season.
  14. If you converted his assessed EL 3.00 ave it would become 4.8 and including him in the declared team would exceed 42.50. There would also be the farcical situation if King's Lynn & Newcastle had fixture clashes, the Diamonds would be missing Kerr, Rose, and Lambert and would require at least two guests in their places.
  15. Having read the public comments of the Edinburgh Promotion, it appears they were informed that the problem was not with the track and outwith the control of the Peterborough Promotion. I wonder if the two hour delay between the Showground announcing the cancellation and the subsequent confirmation by Peterborough Promotion, might have been that messrs Swales & Horton were desperately trying to have remedial H & S work carried out which would reverse the original cancellation announcement by the Showground ?
  16. Who was proved correct re Chelsea. Looking at 2012 & 2013, Scunny & Somerset were able to bring in changes late on (Nick Morris & Chas Wright respectively) which proved crucial at the Play Offs. Doubt if Monarchs will be in that position to strengthen further prior to the Play Offs, should they even finish in the top six.
  17. Certainly Anders Thomsen should be first choice if available, if not Oliver Greenwood worth considering as he was decent around OTA at end of last season.
  18. Craig Cook won it for last season and was presented with Trophy at Armadale by Jim McGregor (cue a snidey comment from an envious Paulco )
  19. Tigers really need their Danish reserves to heavily outscore the Panthers 6 & 7, to be in with a chance of winning. Thomsen looks dynamic on track, but I wonder if his bikes are up to scratch. From what I've seen of him, he reminds of Robert Branford last season, who always looked better than his final points return
  20. Alternatively instead of spending heavily on importing another overseas rider, they offer Wolbert an advance to sort out his engines. Prior to yesterday, he has impressed at Ashfield and was certainly a class act at Armadale on Friday. Having been present yesterday, I'm surprised the Tigeratti on here did not credit Theo with being the only Tiger to lower the colours of both CooK & Masters, which was no mean feat. Also note that the Danish reserve duo appear exempt from criticism, despite both being ineffective
  21. In addition to the air fence I thought rider safety has been improved by moving the start gate back,as there appeared to be no bunching in the race to the first bend, which also previously handicapped the rider off gate 4, who was liable to run out of space. Both teams are starting with decent reserve pairings and imo, the Tigers look like they will gain in replacing Ringwood with Nielsen, based on tonight's performance. The Armadale micro climate came up trumps tonight as the forecast rain stayed away, although ten degrees warmer would have been nice
  22. If this match is using the standard 15 heat format, will heat 15 nominees not be selected from top three averages/match scorers for both teams ? If so, what will be strange about Tigers lineup re heat 15 ?
  23. I was told that the ref that night, Ernie Chapman, was accompanied by his dog into the ref's box as usual. However on this occassion Fido decided to jump up and it's paw hit the tapes release button
  24. Predictable Weegie paranoia again Take it that it was part of the "conspiracy" for Monarchs to kindly loan to their struggling near neighbours, Wolbert & Pijper to occupy the top two heat leader slots
