I take it the previous regulation that r/r for an assessed rider (i.e. Berge, assessed CMA 5.00) was restricted to 28 day period, has been discreetly removed, given that the Tigers continue to use this facility to their advantage, long after the 28 day period for the Frenchman has expired Appears the weather forecast for Sunday is improving compared to earlier meteorological predictions.

Redcar V Edinbrugh (pl) 3/7/14 @ 7.30pm
cyclone replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pleasant evening to watch Speedway, but unfortunately the track, although not dusty, appeared to offer little in the way of passing opportunities after the second bend in most races. Monarchs adapted better, providing ten heat winner amongst six of the team and always looked like winning as the meeting progressed. Hope junior rider, Paul Bowen, is ok after his fall in ht1 of the abandoned NJL match. -

Reckon we were fortunate that Panthers were unable to track a full team from the start and then lost Fisher who had two falls.. Had they steered clear of injuries, the Monarchs were there for the taking tonight. Deek was shocking tonight and started by taking Max out to the fence in ht3 and finished with messing up Fox in ht14 and meekly letting an overworked Jacobs through for a 1- 5 to the visitors. Mind you if our team manager had any tactical nous, he would have had Worrall in for Sneddon in ht 14. With Worrall now moving up from reserve and DS taking his place, Monarchs will be losing their secret weapon and their 21 unbeaten run will probably end at Redcar on Thursday. -
Edinburgh Vs Rye House (20th Of June)

Was told EK suffered a blown engine on returning to the pits after ht 13. Thought his performance was the best by a visiting rider this season. Think some folk are OTT suggesting Garrity should face further punishment for the fracas. These guys are racing on adrenalin, and far better they confront each other after the race, when there is unlikely to be serious physical damage to the combatants. Anyway with Grievesy now retired, we've been missing the bonus of additional boxing matches until last night -

After Monday's performance looking forward to watching Garrity on track. He has had some corkers round the Dale previously, so would not be surprised if he notches double figures. Boxall also looked decent in the British Final. If Kennett can also reproduce his Poole form of last night, this could turn out to be a more competitive contest than most on here have predicted -

Workington Vs Edinburgh 14th June 7pm (premier League)
cyclone replied to Django's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I was there tonight to witness events, but first of all, I will quote the following from the Official Edinburgh website: "A second ambulance was apparently 66 miles away, though the stadium ambulance in which Kyle was being treated would only have had to travel to Whitehaven, seven miles away." I would be interested if someone from the Workington Management could confirm if this correct, and if so, explain why it was estimated it would take a least a further hour for ambulance and medical cover to resume ? The abandonment was met with audible disapproval from the main Stand, which was mainly populated by home supporters, and some visiting fans, including me. Make no mistake, whilst Howarth's well being was of paramount importance, the lack of contingency backup to continue the meeting will only drive away more frustrated fans from attending further matches. -

Would expect at least a 5 point swing in Comets favour this time if Deek takes to the track. Also with Fox returning from injury, will be surprised if he improves on his previous no score at Derwent Park. Poole for Morris might also yield a greater points return for the Comets. At least a six points win for Worky is on the cards this time round -
Some folk are getting hacked off with how long meetings can take to run, and one factor that appears to be regularly mentioned, is for racing to be temporarily suspended due to the sun affecting the riders vision. Having been a fan for over fifty years I do not recall this being an issue until recently. I do remember that during the summer months, the riders used either tinted goggles or a tinted visor clipped on to the peak of the helmet. Given that technology has advanced since the 1960s, you would imagine that there would be a suitable accessory available to combat the effect of intense sunlight. I was discussing this with a Clerk of the Course, and as far as he is aware, there is no regulation prohibiting riders from wearing the likes of Ray-Ban sunglasses when racing.

Noticed that on Official Edinburgh website, it has Palm Toft guesting in place of Katajisto. Think he'll be at Coventry today riding for Belle Vue in the EL instead. -

With Chris Louis at BV tonight for Sky, he should get Stuart Robson to guest for Worrall in the second leg at OTA this Friday. Although Robson guested for Rebels on Friday, the 8 day rule does not apply as this is the KOC and not a league match. -

Ippo could do worse than sign up Nicolai Klindt to guest for Worrall at the OTA -

After ht 12 myself and fellow travellers were distinctly unsmug about the Monarchs salvaging a bonus point, never mind three match winning points. Then in ht 13, Sam Masters blasts round King & Lindgren on the second bend to gain a magnificent second place and the Monarchs are now only point behind. However ht 14 has the fast starting Kerr, who looks odds on favourite, but no, Mr Cool (aka Steve Worrall) surges to the front and Deek holds up Kerr for two laps and unbelievably we're one point ahead. With King & the fast trapping Robson (who had only dropped one point), and choice of gates, Diamonds must still have fancied there chance, but it was not to be as the PL's fop rider simply blew the homesters away in a re-run ht 15, in an astonishingly fastest time of the season of 62.1. One suggestion to the Monarchs management, the Fricke & Sneddon pairing is the weak link, and placing Sneddon at no.2 and Sedgmen at no.4, might provide a better balance. When Fox returns fully fit and hopefully continues to improve, then Edinburgh should still be threat to anyone, as the use of a NL guest does weaken our overall capabilities. -

Max Clegg is listed for Leicester CUbs, who take on Stoke at 4pm, - maybe he has borrowed a Stark Trek Transporter
