cyclone replied to Pogo1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thanks for actually answering my original query in a rational way, instead of the paranoid retorts from Gazc, who was more concerned in referring to Worrall's actions and childish name calling. towards myself. Re the Tabaka crash in 2013, for which it was announced that Morris was excluded for dangerous riding by the referee, if you revisit that topic, you will find that apart from one poster, all the other posters reckoned it was a misjudgement by Nick, rather than anything malicious. Agree every side has it's blinkered supporters who embarrass the rest by their irrational, often aggressive utterances. -

My you really like to spout out your unproven paranoid theories - bitter little Monarch, anti Glasgow etc To remind you, my original post sought comment from those who had been commenting on the incidents in heats 3 & 14, regarding the Live Update report on ht7 namely:- "More carnage . Lawson excluded for putting Charles Wright off on the back straight lap 1. Charles Wright being treated in the ambulance for what looks like a shoulder problem." Rather than respond to the query, you launch into a diatribe regarding my motive in asking a perfectly innocent question. You finally admit I never condoned Worrall's actions but then point I never condemned them either. I'll answer that - as I was not present, I am not in the habit of condoning or condemning rider's actions based on partial third party reports. Likewise you will note I have not condoned or condemned what happened in ht 7, merely enquiring whether those present agreed with the above Live Updates description. Time to take a chill pill my wee Glasgow pal, and stop trying to bully anyone whose posts you dislike -

On what basis can you confirm there was intent or no intent by the riders concerned ? Did they confide in you after the events or are the above your subjective presumptions ? Certainly your presumptions about my posts certainly display a clear lack of comprehending what was actually stated by concluding that I condoned what happened in heat 14. -

You obviously have a comprehension problem in presuming I condoned what happened in heat 14. To remind you the Updates stated : "More carnage . Lawson excluded for putting Charles Wright off on the back straight lap 1. Charles Wright being treated in the ambulance for what looks like a shoulder problem." If the above description was inaccurate then say so, if not, then my query was why was no comment made about Lawson's exclusion in heat 7 also ? Anyway thanks for clarifying that Lawson being excluded for putting Wright off on the back straight lap 1, which resulted in Chas being treated in the ambulance was merely a "racing incident". -

The Tigeratti on here are going on about Worrall's exclusions from heats 4 & 14, What about the following regarding heat 7 as per the comment from Live Updates :- "More carnage . Lawson excluded for putting Charles Wright off on the back straight lap 1. Charles Wright being treated in the ambulance for what looks like a shoulder problem." Was Lawson's misdemeanor not worthy of mention/condemnation also -

This could be a double edged sword as it would be unrealistic to expect Sam to be fully match fit right away after his injury lay off. Also Brady Kurtz will surely improve on his previous one point return. Whatever the final outcome is, it will be a novel experience to watch two full strength, guest free, sides contest this match -

cyclone replied to Tigerish's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done to the Tigers who gave us a our biggest defeat of the season. For those who reckon we are all bad losers, here are some extracts from the match report on the Edinburgh website:- "Well you can't be good all the time - and we weren't tonight at Owlerton where we went down 51-39 to the Sheffield Tigers, a fair reflection of the match." "It was our worst score of the season, and this came against a team missing key riders in Jason Garrity and Arthur Sissis." "Kurtz was tremendous for Sheffield, as was recent signing Nicolai Klindt who had his best UK meeting of the season." "Josh Bates was the most exciting rider of the night, his win in heat 8 being the best race as he passed not only Branford but also Sedgmen later in the race". -

Easily solved for Bandits on the night ,- r/r for Thornblom, Worrall for Vissing. -
Teams as per Official Monarchs website:- EDINBURGH BORDER ROOFING MONARCHS: Craig Cook (capt.), Justin Sedgmen, Kevin Wolbert, Erik Riss, rider replacement for Sam Masters, Max Clegg, Rob Branford . SOMERSET CASES REBELS: Brady Kurtz, Rasmus Jensen, Charles Wright, Richie Worrall, Josh Grajczonek, Paul Starke, Ollie Greenwood. One of the few occasions where a full strength visiting side will be appearing at the Dale. Expect Somerset to be seeking revenge for their Sky televised home defeat by the Monarchs. Worrall, Grajczonek, Wright, and Starke are decent round the Dale, and although this will Jensen's first appearance here, if he adapts as well as Redcar's Andersen did, then this could be a tight match.

Even allowing for 7 for Lysager in place of Wilson, think Scunny could still replace the injured Douglas with Lanham, who scored 11+2 at EWR for Rebels there recently.

With the caveat that meteorological forecasting is not foolproof, the link below for Friday does not look unreasonable, given that Doc Bridgett & his crew are probably the best guys in the Universe at resuscitating previously wet tracks into superb racing strips http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/Scotland/Armadale~2657067/

What a mean spirited response to a young talented rider who has just suffered injuries which may curtail his season.

Probably still remembers riding in ht 15 for Arena @ the Dale when he was leading going into the last bend when Carr & Schott ruthlessly swallowed him up and left him bouncing off the fence in third place -
Terrible news for such a talented, modest, youngster

Think this will be the fixture where we will really miss Sam Masters as he has an impressive record at the OTA , which I cannot envisage r/r/ compensating for. Cookie and Sedgie should give the Rebels a run for their money, but the rest of the Monarchs could be toiling, with Riss, and possibly Clegg, being first time visitors also, Expect a comfortable home victory and hopefully an injury free match. -

Like this ? :- Posted by Paulco on 10 September 2014 - 08:44 PM in Premier League Speedway Think we better give the Scandanavian market a miss in future . When we roll up in either Copenhagen or Stockholm and cry " bring out your dead " , out pops a Palovaara , or a Peter Juul , or an Anders Andersen or a Robin Tornqvist .......... . -
As I previously forecast, Panthers choice of guests, r/r for Grondal and Masters absence for the Monarchs would result in a Panthers win. Wells was superb and was the best rider on show and the other five visitors all made telling contrubutions during the match to ensure a deserved victory for Peterborough. The continued absence of Sam Masters (his hand is scheduled to be in plaster for a further two weeks) which r/r cannot compenste adequately for his scoring power, imo makes it unlikely Monarchs will pick up any league points in their remaing away fixtures. Ipswich will fancy their chances at the Dale next Friday in the League Cup semi final, as will Somerset, the following Friday. We probably have a sufficient points cushion to finish in the top six and hopefully come the Play - Offs, are at full strength.

Given that Robert Lambert excelled on the smaller Rye House track last Saturday, I expect that he will readily adapt to the Dale. Ricky Wells guesting for Ostergaard should at least match the expected return from Ulrich. However r/r at no.5 and Wethers guesting at reserve, will probably return more points than the Grondal & Simon Lambert would have scored for the Panthers. Together with r/r at no. 5 for the Monarchs, which is unlikely to yield the points that a fit Sam Masters would score, imo points to a likely away win.
