  1. Point 1 - So if you are not referring to the Reigning Champions current financial position, don't be shy and tell us what you are implying in the first post? Point 2 - Bollocks! - rather than admit you have no details of Edinburgh's current (i.e. not historical ) financial status, you try to slither out by taking the Google excuse.
  2. So tell us all what the current financial position of the Reigning Champions is? What are the current balance sheet figures, and from what published source are you basing your statement on ?
  3. My tongue in cheek comment was based on the In brief article in this weeks Star. As "getting the bullet" is everyday slang for "dispensing with the service of", I'm sorry that this phrase so upset you. The article includes the phrases:- "rather than chasing everyone out straight away, they took time to establish the correct business model for themselves" "There was always going to be changes..." "Possibly the biggest casualty from the change is outgoing promoter Colin Hamilton"" From the above, does it not imply that the five ex directors did not take the initiative to step down voluntarily? If you are saying that in your case, you did submit your resignation beforehand, rather than be advised of this by the Club Owners, then I accept that my interpretation of the article was incorrect.
  4. See Page 21 this week's Speedway Star which quotes Gordon Pairman : "outgoing directors, Colin Hamilton, Ian Adam, Derek Smith, George Barclay and Cami Brown" That's five is it not? - suggest you take it up with Mr Pairman and point out the errors of his ways
  5. See there’s been a purge in the Tigers Den by Jack & Victor Sopranno, with five Directors getting the bullet, including snapper CSI (Possilpark) is investigating allegations that george.m will be the new Club Photographer also
  6. Best solution is scrap the TR rule completely from all competitions asap.
  7. Agree the presentation above is ambiguous. Re last Season, the TR was permitted in matches where the overall result was not decided upon the aggregate score, namely League & League Cup Mini-League matches. Probably intended the same for 2016, and imo the Scunny vs Sheffield interpretation was correct. The BSPA/SCB should however issue public clarification asap of what exactly the ruling on TRs is, to avoid further inconsistency.
  8. The BV announcement does not state when Bewley will be joining a PL side. It could be that an existing PL no. 7 at a non Friday track (e.g. Sheffield, Worky, Newcastle etc.) could be replaced by him after completion of the their 4 match stint
  9. Sure i read on here that PL no 7s were guaranteed a minimum of 4 home meetings from the start. If this 4 only applies to official fixtures, then that would be completed later than 29/4. Also no guarantee as to when Davey will be given UK Citizenship.
  10. Has signed a full contract with BV :- http://www.bellevuecolts.co/newsitem.aspx?id=1652 As it states "“It’s important to note that in addition to his National League commitments he will also be taking a Premier League No.7 berth, but this will not interfere with any fixtures pertaining to Belle Vue." and given Colts home matches are on Fridays, it would appear he is destined for a PL side with a home race night other than a Friday.
  11. I would guess Kevin Wolbert, Sam Masters, Ryan Fisher, Craig Cook, Derek Sneddon, The Pope, for starters.
  12. The non franked bulk mail received from commercial concerns, (banks, insurance companies, etc.) including Speedway Star, are not date stamped, instead has a 1st or 2nd class id, together with Postage Paid GB code (e.g. for Speedway Star, it's Kingston-U-T 584) on the envelope. When stamped/franked mail is sent, the date, time, & sending location do appear on the envelope, so it appears your copy is being processed by a different channel. If you had fully read my post, I never suggested earlier posting, but questioned why other commercial & personal 1st Class mail received from the London Area normally arrives the next day after posting, but not the Star. I would add that this problem affects several subscribers in the Edinburgh area who stay in different postal zones.
  13. Have already done so locally & would add most other 1st class franked mail from London Area is delivered next day. Perhaps you should follow this up at your handover point.
  14. Glad to hear folks got their bumper copy of the mag on schedule. Despite contacting SS Circulation Dept, postal subscribers in Edinburgh continue to wait longer than everyone else and it appears any day after Thursdays is the norm (i.e. Friday - Tuesday) No bloody good producing a great magazine if you cannot get it out to your customers on time BTW local newsagents seem to have no problems with Thursday deliveries.
  15. IIRC did Jim McMillan not test rev limiters in his Official Role as a Technical Advisor a few years ago ? I seem to recall some riders tested them at Scunny or Rye House,,& Ricky Ashworth was impressed with their use on his bike at the testing session. However it appears that for whatever reason, no further developments on their possible introduction was ever subsequently reported.
  16. A statement from the Monarchs website re Friday, 20th May:- On Friday we became aware of a proposal by Glasgow Speedway to stage a meeting, the British Championship semi final, on Friday 20th May. They made an announcement to their supporters at a social function on Friday evening confirming this proposal. We subsequently raised an objection to this meeting to the British Speedway Promoters’ Association. Co-promoter John Campbell takes up the story. “The news of the proposed meeting came completely out of the blue to us. In all my time as a speedway promoter, that’s over thirty years, promoters have interacted in a courteous manner to stop problems like this coming into the public domain before fully addressed. I’m astonished that we received no approach from Glasgow on this occasion.” “I am told that Glasgow put forward this date as we did not have a fixture scheduled. A quick look at our website or the BSPA Official fixture list, issued on 20th January, would have confirmed that we have the date reserved for a League Cup semi final. Glasgow’s highly experienced duo of promoters would know that should we fail to qualify for the semi final we will use the date to restage an earlier rain off or try to advance a later programmed league match. That is the way it has happened in all my time as a promoter.” “Had we been contacted by Glasgow, before their public announcement, concerning their plans then we would have been happy to listen. Unfortunately we were not given that opportunity.”
  17. Fair enough, never seen them on the terraces, - did they ignore the alleged edict or was there never any in the first place?
  18. Where exactly in your 8.30am post are the "questions" that you refer to? - they are unsubstantiated statements by yourself which you still have to elaborate on with detailed proof. Specifically, give more details of :- a) How were Monarchs bailed out by the late Brian Gray and what was the sum involved? Is it not common that Directors of Sports Clubs do put money into the clubs that they support? I am aware that my own Promotion have subsidised the club through hard times. Perhaps all the Glasgow Directors have never required to do this b ) “Workington speedway [ have they been PAID yet ]” – Having already enlightened GazC that Craig Cook was purchased in full, if you are aware of some other unpaid debt, please elaborate, as I’m sure the Edinburgh Promotion would be interested to know and would act accordingly. c) “Even the new additions to the board [no more money UNLESS we are made directors i believe ]” - I believe that is not the case if you are referring to Norma and Eddie McKenna who were unconditionally invited to join the Board. I was going to suggest that you could ask Eddie himself on 3rd April at Ashfield, but is he still pettily barred from your stadium? Re Dimitri Berge, your description of his leaving differs from his own statement (post 1198, Glasgow 2015), viz.:- Berge statement: "I owe the truth to the Glasgow Tigers Fans. I did not loose my confidence and still have full faith in my ability to ride - this is not the reason that pushed me to leave the club. During the past few months I was under constant pressure from the management team and I was not in a trusting work relationship, that I believe is an essential part of my sport. I left the team because I could no longer put up with the "ambiance". I will not make any further comment in respect to the sponsors, fans and my mechanic Robert all of whom have always supported and respected me. I would like to thank the fans and the sponsors but also Alison, Laura, Lindsay, Jim, Ian, Jennifer, Georges and I am sure I am forgetting many others. I wish the best of luck to my team mates and to my friend Victor "à bientôt". Believe me they have crossed the Red Line but what is the point of airing our dirty laundry online ! I want the Glasgow Club to keep their honour because of my great respect for you my fans but not for them . Tigers Riders have as safe journey on your way to a long-awaited victory !" Finally I note you have neither confirmed, nor denied that Geraldo & Michael Angelo Facenna instructed their fellow Directors not to attend the second leg of the Premier League Play Off at Armadale. Alan Dick & Colin Hamilton were frequent Friday night visitors at Armadale in 2015, and I do not recall their presence for this meeting. Care to answer now ?
  19. Stop kidding yourself, you have brought these subjects up on here previously. Having temporary amnesia or hoping no one would remember your past mud slinging. How ironic you spout on about "decency" and "moral (note spelling btw ) high ground" - typical hypocritical, holier than thou, response from the Tigeratti when someone gives them as good as they gave, they go whimpering about how nasty the Monarchs fans are.
  20. Reliably informed that the transfer fee received for Aaron Summers from Redcar, was utilised to buy Craig, who was not in the Worky team plans for 2011. Await response from Mr Know All (aka, Manse) to my questions re Geraldo & Michael Angelo's conduct. See you're still having problems reading posts correctly, where questions asked are suddenly interpreted by you as slurs
  21. Aye keep spouting the same unsubstantiated crap and ignore the on-track facts that you have been living in our shadows for some time. If Jack & Victor Soprano hadn't bailed you lot out, you would have gone to wall, but let's ignore that eh. As are the "man in the know", care to confirm or deny that the Geraldo & Michael Angelo Facenna :- a) sent the heavies round to evict Dimitri Berge from his lodgings and repossessed his van, leaving him and his possessions on the street ? b ) instructed their fellow Directors not to attend the second leg of the Premier League Play Off at Armadale ?
  22. Think you've been sharing too many Buckie & Methadone cocktails with the Weegies on here, to come out with this incoherent tripe Oops, forgot the Ashfield cocktail also includes a large dash of Bitters
  23. Stuck for a proper answer eh - drowning in your own bitterness at Edinburgh's on track success again !
  24. Hopefully not, considering they have been the most successful team on track this millennium Still I suppose the paranoid jealousy of Geraldo & Michael Angelo and their band of camp followers need something other than what happened on the track, to have a pop at Scotland's most successful team
  25. Really ! According to Edinburgh website:- Fri 20th May Edinburgh v To Be Confirmed League Cup 7.30pm Also from Glasgow website:- Sun 12th June, v TBC League Cup So I suggest you are twisting the facts as you well Know all clubs have dates scheduled for home fixtures where the details of the event are still to be finalised. What would be relevant would be to ascertain:- Who proposed the same date that was already published in the Edinburgh home fixture list ? Can Glasgow hold such an event on another weekday, given that such BSPA events have been frequently held on other weekdays, particularly Thursdays ?
