Glasgow Vs Somerset Pl 21/08/16
cyclone replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Think this could be a dress rehearsal for the expected KO Cup semi & Premier Trophy finals between the two. Think Worrall & Lunna will be catalysts for a home win on Sunday, though based on current form, you would not bet against the Rebels coming out on top over two legged affairs, whoever might be the opposition. -

Just looked at Wajknecht's results and his scores without bp, in PL/Prem Trophy, on a rolling average basis, appear to have never reached 3.00. Perhaps Statman can confirm this is correct? -

Wajknecht, Phillips & Perks are all listed in the latest Green Sheet as 3.00 but are not footnoted (i.e. *) as having an assessed MA, whereas Bewley & Josh Bailey are. Although I have not seen details of actual rolling average per period, I'd guess Bewley was already slightly over 3.00 at the last accounting cut-off date. I'd also be surprised if messrs Wajknecht, Phillips & Perks actual rolling averages were exactly 3.00 as published. -

I thought assessed riders obtained a real GSA as soon as they had completed 4H + 4A PL/PL Trophy matches. Dan Bewley completed this by May, so why should he still be designated as having an assessed average on the latest Green Sheet, 3 months later? -

Can anyone explain why Dan Bewley is still classified with an assessed MA (still displaying with an asterisk (*) ) on the latest Green Sheets, despite having completed more than 4H & 4A Offiicial matches that count? According to the Edinburgh website they reckon it should be 3.26 http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/statistics -

You''re the one in need of anger management (it's moral high ground, btw ) as you continue to resort to juvenile sarcasm. I understand why you would never criticize your Owners face to face, as you will no doubt be aware, when, amongst others, what happened to long time Tigers supporters, Charlie Ross, when he raised his concerns directly. After all, do you think you would still be able to continue with your happy snapping if you ruffled their feathers? So rather than suffer the fate of local dissidents who dare to disagree with some aspects of the show, I will kindly decline your dare. Oh and btw I have spoken directly with various members of the Edinburgh Promotion, several times, when I have had concerns. PS unlike you, I have a contented existence, and do not need to spend all my time policing the BSF on behalf of my team. You should try it, it might lighten up your sad life -

So that is now admitted unreservedly on here. As you deal in facts, can you confirm who compiled his resignation letter, and who was present when he signed it. Contrary to the suggestions on here I do not dislike the current owners of Glasgow, who I have commended for their redevelopment of the Stadium. However there are certain actions by them that I will criticize including the treatment of Berge and the infamous "letter" handed out at the end of the Play-Off final leg. See the usual acolytes are taking umbrage at the nicknames used - talk about hypocrisy when they regularly use similar terms towards the Edinburgh Management. Oh and btw, if you think you will bully me into silence, think again Victory & Barry FYI here as some previous statements on Berge to peruse:- Published: July 11, 2015 Glasgow Tigers are sorry to inform fans that reserve Dimitri Berge has today told the club he wishes to relinquish his team place and return home to France. The reason given by the rider was a loss of confidence. Adam Roynon will guest in place of the 19-year-old tomorrow in the match against Workington. A full statement will be released in due course. (anyone know what happened to the full statement?) Followed by the undernoted on the BSF:- Posted by DutchGrasstrack on 16 July 2015 - 02:52 PM in Premier League Speedway Berge statement: "I owe the truth to the Glasgow Tigers Fans. I did not loose my confidence and still have full faith in my ability to ride - this is not the reason that pushed me to leave the club. During the past few months I was under constant pressure from the management team and I was not in a trusting work relationship, that I believe is an essential part of my sport. I left the team because I could no longer put up with the "ambiance". I will not make any further comment in respect to the sponsors, fans and my mechanic Robert all of whom have always supported and respected me. I would like to thank the fans and the sponsors but also Alison, Laura, Lindsay, Jim, Ian, Jennifer, Georges and I am sure I am forgetting many others. I wish the best of luck to my team mates and to my friend Victor "à bientôt". Believe me they have crossed the Red Line but what is the point of airing our dirty laundry online ! I want the Glasgow Club to keep their honour because of my great respect for you my fans but not for them . Tigers Riders have as safe journey on your way to a long-awaited victory !" -

As Berge continues to get vilified by certain Tigs on here, it obviously makes uncomfortable reading to hear the other side. When Sheffield visit Ashfield, why do you not ask him about the circumstances of his posting a statement on the net about his departure. And while you are it, ask him if the the picture on Facebook of his belongings dumped outside his lodgings was authentic, and if so, who was responsible for the scene? Seems a reasonable suggestion, do you not thinks so? -

Apologies, did not emphasize it's three Seasons per Rider, so as things stand, Doubling Up will continue in 2017.

Or in the case of Berge and Bellego, every Frenchman's nightmare -
For 2017, will certain riders no longer be permitted to double up ? IIRC, wef from 2014, doubling up would be restricted to three Seasons per rider. If so, the likes of Cook, Lawson, King & Grajczonek will have to choose between the EL or PL for next Season. Wonder what they will choose, or will this reg be quietly rescinded instead

So Who Is Going To Win The Premier League In 2016?
cyclone replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Barring injuries, Somerset look certs, with Glasgow beaten Playoff Finalists again. With Garrity returning in such fine form, Sheffield's 1 - 5 could possibly outscore any other team over two legs, but their reserves would have to up their game. Newcastle could also be in the mix, but whilst Lindgren has improved, Lambert seems to have faltered slightly, and Phillips is likely to be the weakest #7, if Ayres & Wajknecht return from injury. Edinburgh are unlikely to remain third in the table as I do not expect them to pick up any further points from their remaining away fixtures at Somerset, Sheffield, & Newcastle, and they might struggle to maintain their unbeaten home record against Somerset, Glasgow & Peterborough. Despite their dodgy home record, the Panthers away record should still ensure they grab sixth spot, and if Rathbone does find a way of shuffling his pack, they might cause a ripple. -
IIRC Paul Gachet was one of two riders who featured in an action shot of practice racing at White City in an episode of The Sweeney

Glasgow V Edimburgh Ko Cup Sunday 31 July 2016
cyclone replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Most races I've seen home & away this Season are usually decided by the moves made on the first two bends. It was not a case of whoever was first away from the tapes, won. If it had been, the Monarchs would have scored a few more points. Tigers adapted better to the track & the prevailing weather conditions. Away Supporters of all Clubs whose team has taken a gubbing, tend to criticize the quality of the racing/track, rather than admit the visitors were poor, and/or the home side rode well. I'll say it again, we were crap on Sunday, Tigers looked good. -

What I've got, is you ignore what is actually stated in the Full Regulations and make it up as you go along, Furthermore, as you are still avoiding admitting you made a false accusation in post #69 on the Scunny vs Edinburgh thread, asserting Edinburgh only informed Scunny of the change, late Sunday morning, I would not trust anything you state on here. You're certainly living up to the "Lucifer" part of your Forum name and are your asbestos pants still saving from you from any burns? -

You really are making yourself look incredibly stupid - I'll highlight it again for you - pay attention!: A Rider must be released to take part in a higher priority Meeting, unless he is “Doubling Up” or is an “EDR, in which case the priority for a clash of Official Meetings is as follows: 16.1.1 The “owning” Club (ie. on Club’s Retained List) or before the start of the Season was transferred with the full Transfer Fee being paid. 16.1.2 If neither Club has “ownership”, then it is determined by the League status of the Club that does “own” the rider. If that Club is a NL Club then agreement can be made otherwise Art. 16.1 applies If you cannot directly relate rule 16.1.3 to the following part of the the SCB Statement, viz.: The BSPA instructed Edinburgh that as the Buxton v Belle Vue fixture was in the original Fixture List, and the above Meeting wasa re-arranged Meeting, having been postponed on June 12th, that Dan Bewley had to ride at Buxton and Edinburgh were therefore entitled to a Guest as per art 18.10 (d), As Monty Python would say "Time you visited Curry's and got a new brain" See you ignore to mention this part of the SCB:- "Furthermore, Edinburgh advised Scunthorpe by SMS at 15:14 on Friday 15th July (72 hours prior to the Meeting Start time) of the fact that Mitchell Davey would be the G rider replacing Dan Bewley." OK someones arithmetic is poor (Rob Godfrey perhaps? )as it was 48 hours prior, but you appear not to have the cojones to admit your post #69 on the Scunny vs Edinburgh thread, asserting Edinburgh only informed Scunny of the change, late Sunday morning, was completely false. -

We were crap today and Glasgow were good, no problem admitting that. Agree that Erik Riss was rightly penalised for faffing about at the gate too long, although he gave us our single highlight when sweeping past the otherwise unbeaten Lawson on lap2 of heat 10. Tigers did look a complete unit today, with Lunna & Bach, particularly impressive. Finally a a message to Lucifer Sam - you really have a problem understanding the SCB Regulations. For your benefit here, for the nth time, is the relevant Section where a NL fixture does take priority for the services of a Doubling Up rider. Either vanity is preventing you from acknowledging this, or your mind has been degraded by supporting Jeremy Corbyn :- 16. FIXTURES, MATCH AVERAGES and GENERAL RULES The authority of the SCB and BSPA extends over all Meetings listed on the Official BSPA produced and maintained Fixture List. Changes, including Fixture re-stagings must be approved by the BSPA and no Meeting may be staged unless on the Fixture List. 16.1 Fixtures shall take priority as follows: FIM SGP, SWC, SGP Qualifying Meetings, FIM Junior Speedway Championship Meetings British Championships (Senior, Junior), BSPA Shared and Fee Events Official Competitions: 1. Elite League; 2. Premier League; 3.National League. NB. Non-Official Competitions have no priority over any of the above. A Rider must be released to take part in a higher priority Meeting, unless he is “Doubling Up” or is an “EDR, in which case the priority for a clash of Official Meetings is as follows: 16.1.1 The “owning” Club (ie. on Club’s Retained List) or before the start of the Season was transferred with the full Transfer Fee being paid. 16.1.2 If neither Club has “ownership”, then it is determined by the League status of the Club that does “own” the rider. If that Club is a NL Club then agreement can be made otherwise Art.16.1 applies. 16.1.3 The Original Fixture if there is a clash with a re-Arranged Fixture PS 19.9.3 does not override the above, it specifies that the NLRC will take priority over any PL fixture clash. Oh & BTW still awaiting for you to acknowledge that you falsely stated the Monarchs had advised the change on the Sunday morning which was exposed as untrue in the SCB Statement. Here's the link as it appears you might not have read this:- http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.30910 .
