  1. I thought the music and presentation was excellent and a lot better than previous years, it gave the stadium plenty of atmosphere
  2. Well I have recently come back from Lonigo for the 2009 SGP qualifier and I had an excellent week in Italy and i would definitly reccomend it so much to do in the area I stayed in Soave 5mins from main A4 autostrada and 5 mins from San Bonifacio train station a good number of hotels around here. It is about a 15 min drive to Lonigo but very well sign posted and even signs for the speedway As well as the speedway Verona is 20 mins by car,Lake Garda just over an hour,Venice 1 hour 10 mins by train and Milan 2 hours by car so you really can have a good week out there.
  3. Shovlar- For once I have to agree with you on Chris Holder if he continues to progress at his current rate he should recieve a wild card for 2009 and I have heard a few things that indicate a decision has already been made that he will be in the 2009 series providing he has a good World Cup this year. If it had been the original lineup at Lonigo I think Freddie Lindgren would have won it and would have said that Janniro and Batchelor would have have made the cut above J Monberg and on how he rode last night probaly Daniel King. I cant believe how welcome the Italians have made us and therew as a good crowd there with plenty of cheering for the race winners and lots of fans staying behing to watch presentation and to chat to riders after the meeting
  4. I went to the meeting last night and it was good such a fast track with quite a bit of passing. I must say im no Poole fan but Chris Holder was the most unlucky rider in his 1st race got excluded for nothing was nowhere near the other rider and then his engine failures were while leading by almost half a straight he was very annoyed by this and I did notice that he was using his Polish bikes and Mechanics I wonder if that had anything to do with EF's as he had a right go at his mechanics after 2nd failure. The brits took quite a while to get the hang of the track and Steady didnt look fast enough on his 1st bike I got some very strange looks when cheering for brits in run off against Carpenese who actually impressed me but it was on his home track so should have been good. I think the right man won in Sullivan as he looked the best rider on the night as Ferjan was just gating as per usual
  5. Well I have been out in sunny Italy since Tuesday for this meeting and have seen lots of promotion and billboard adverts as far field as Verona and Lake Garda so the Lonigo track seem to be trying very hard to get as big as crowd as possible for this, just hoping the hot sunny wethaer hold out foe the meeting
  6. Im going to Lonigo soon can anybody reccomend a good hotel to stay in thats in the area I will have hire car and plan to visit Venice,Verona and Lake Garda while im there looking for a central base
