  1. Kenni was also very unsure of his fitness in the winter as he had a very serious arm injury last year in fact lost a lot of movement in it. So that combined with his Polish club not being happy with him riding for Leicester on a Saturday is the reasoning behind turning them down this came from the horses mouth e.g Kenni. He is in very good form this year in both Denmark and Poland
  2. Sam Masters was all set to join Leicester a couple of weeks ago before Lasse signed but is unable to double up due to a unknown change in visa regulations which means can not change his secondary employer. This change also rules out Rohan Tungate as well
  3. From what I understand personal terms have been agreed with this proposed signing and he is happy to come but is just double checking European commitments and logistics before signing. Fingers crossed it will happen Although it will make Leicester a lot stronger I am not so sure about Liam Gallagher fans bet for the title ,But if the new signing does come through and the information i have been given about a possible new fast track rider not currently on the list I can see Leicester climbing up the table and maybe taking points away from home. This is all of course subject to the BSPA approving any changes.
  4. Yes if the rider in question does definitely come then it will be a coup for Leicester and Britisb Speedway. It may even mean they get their first Sky fixture as well
  5. As per the latest Fast track rules I thought Charles Wright, Olli Greenwood and Josh Bates can only be used as guests. Maybe there has been a change and another rider is allowed to be added to the list ? As a young British rider who rode elite league last year has been trying to become part of fast track scheme to help get his form back after injury.
  6. I am not sure how Ellis and Lakeside can not say that he was not examined by the medic. He was down a good 5mins on the track and had his helmet, neck brace and kevlars undone so was examined on the track. The medic may not have taken him into the ambulance but had already determined that he had any injury.
  7. Max Clegg is guesting I understand for Lee Payne tonight didn't have the best meeting for Leicester the other week but seems to have a bit more confidence now.
  8. From the reports I have heard Paddy has decided that he picks up too many injuries in the UK and wants to concentrate on Denmark and Poland with his Polish club asking him to be out there on Saturdays to practice which obviously clashes with Leicester. So Leicester are back to looking for two riders
  9. Leicester are very lucky that Doyle has not got any broken bones as it looked like he may have broken his thigh. But they have still got to find two replacements for the rest of the season as Peter Ljung contract has finished and now Patrick Hougaard has decided that he does not want to ride in the UK this year. So looks like the management team have got a lot searching around for replacement riders and to add further problems I hear there has now been a new ruling with tier 2 visas meaning both Sam Masters and Max Fricke can now not double up with elite league clubs. I wonder if the club will give Lasse Bjerre a chance but he now has to miss more meetings due to U21s as well as Peterborough clashes
  10. I see that Mr Ljung himself has confirmed that he won't be back at Leicester and has suggested Anton Rosen who has just been dropped by Newcastle due to averages so they can bring in Danny King
  11. Don't read too much into Sam Mastera wearing Ljungs kevlars they just happened to be at Leicester with Ljungs mechanic. I do however expect the replacement to be Masters or Bjerre although the latter I hear would have a number of fixture clashes especially if he qualifies for the U21s at weekend and would likely be involved in the Danish team U21 so that may rule him out.
  12. It seems to be that Ljung has only ever been on a short term contract with Leicester until Swedish league started and then said he would decide whether he wanted to continue with the UK. I expect that he has rode his last match for the Lions and that he will be replaced soon luckily Leicester do not have any fixtures for a couple of weeks.
  13. I think you will find the decision to drop Max Clegg has already been taken and it is just a case of waiting for the new rider to get ready for Elite league. I know some may not agree but think its best for young Max to have a rest and fully get his confidence back in the National league
  14. Looks like Leicester are trying to get Thorsell to guest tomorrow I did hear they were trying to contact Richard Lawson as well
  15. From what I can make out from people in the pits and on here the Lakeside appeal is based upon the fact the paramedic was not the usual Leicester one and he admitted that he did not understand the pressure put on the body for speedway so could only go on his general medical assessment and that of his ambulance technician colleague . Adam tried to prove himself fit but the paramedic was not convinced so withdrew him from the meeting and suggested a hospital check up. Raymond Budd- It seems those rates charged by your company are very reasonable according to my brother in law who is neuro specialist at Queens medical centre in Nottingham are those rates you quoted on evening and weekend work ? As know tracks been quoted lot higher than that for trauma or orthopediac doctor. It also seems other tracks have gone through the wrong agencies who just provide any qualified doctor.
  16. I think it is a little wrong for some fans to suggest that the Leicester club had any part in Adam Ellis being withdrawn from the meeting as I am sure Jonny the Spud will confirm no Leicester riders, promotors or manager said that he should be withdrawn to try and get a home win. The facts are that Adam unfortunately picked up an injury and was obviously in pain I witnessed that myself from the back straight with the grimace on his face and my first thoughts were broken collarbone or dislocated shoulder. The paramedic who i must add was not the usual guy that does Leicester was then was asked to look at Adam the medic then took a decision in his professional opinion Adam should not race anymore that meeting to guarantee his and other riders safety. It does appear that he may have been very cautious on this and Adam tried to prove him wrong but the medic was never likely to change his decision as would then question his medical integrity. The question about where was the track doctor is not relevant as in fact most clubs now use paramedics as the authorised medical cover due to a few reasons unless you are fortunate like Workington,Poole,Newcastle and Coventry who have doctors that are Speedway fans .If clubs had to get and pay for a DR this would be very costly and could be as much 3 times more as expensive as a paramedic all adding to the meeting costs . The other thing is sourcing a DR you would have to go to an agency and there has been some bad instances over the years of not knowing what you are getting as these are just DRs looking to make some extra money in their free time, there has been times when there has been Gyno DRs,cancer ones and GPs in their 60s allocated to speedway meetings where as paramedics deal with emergency medicine and practice on a day in day out basis with trauma injuries and can do everything a DR can other than i think medically sedate them e.g put them in a coma. One of the above doctors may not have done this this type of medicine for 10-15 years since training in an A&E department as onc they go into their area of specialism don't go back to trauma care. I have also heard from various officials that DRs tend to be very protective over the patients and often insist on accompanying the riders to hospital causing delays to meetings where as paramedics which will be happy to just hand over the injured rider to a county crew so the meeting can continue faster.
  17. The voice of Reason- PK,Bridger,Lawson,Eliis,Wattand Morley have all rode at Leicester before so only Bech that hasn't and am sure he will be well suited to the track
  18. I see from the Internet that poor old Daryls injuries are a little more severe than first thought he is in ICU sedated with bruising on the brain as well as a broken ankle. I did think earlier it was a bit strange that they were moving him from Swindon to Oxford for a broken ankle all becomes more clear now as John Radcliffe is very good hospital especially for head injuries. Get well soon
  19. Has there been any update to any injuries that the riders picked up yesterday?
  20. Woffy off to hospital with possible pelvis/ lower back injury hopefully just bad bruising
  21. The service will also be on the Sky Bet website soon , It will be interesting to see what Go Speed have to say as it was always my understanding that you would have to place bets of a min of £5 but as Speedway is a new sport they may be trying to get more interest in the service and also may not have the systems setup right yet. But I guess it's up to the betting companies how they want to do it as have paid the money for the rights and by the looks of it have paid out for the required uplink equipment at the tracks which is quite a large investment . If they want to show it free if you just hold the money in their account its their choice it's them that has to make it pay Well done Mr Ballinger for arranging the comms but fully agree that you should get your fees for doing so and hopefully can increase your DVD sales if people watch races and want to watch again will buy the DVD.
  22. Norrie Allen said on Saturday at Leicester that if Jason did not have the permit in his hand by Tuesday so that he could arrive Wed/thurs then they would be resubmitting the team with Kenni Larson in his place until Jason can get over here. This is due to Leicester not being allowed a guest and RR would not work.
  23. I noticed at Leicester that they have had a Vsat terminal installed to uplink the pictures from there which will work a lot better than the 4G solution being used at some tracks. I thought the 2nd match was due to be Leicester vs Wolves on Saturday ?
  24. As I posted earlier a number of people who do know what they are on about when it comes to both track and bike preparation tried to advise the staff employed by the stadium but were told to go away. I am no expert of track preparation but to me the surface looked like it had too much clay in it and earlier in the afternoon when they did try to do something it just created ploughed field furrows and seemed very much like plasticine. Although everybody at Sky sports was very disappointed like the fans that this meeting turned into such a non event as far as I am aware the conspiracy theorists can stop now as A apology was given and agreement made about costs.
  25. What a shambles this has turned out to be and I do have sympathy with the Coventry Speedway promotion as the stadium employ the track man who obviously has no idea. To make things worse people who do know what they are doing tried to advise and got told by stadium staff to stay out of it,our track we will do it how we want.
